Look I realize that I am pointing out the obvious, but just in case I'd like to just throw up some hard evidence. I own an embroidery machine and am very familiar with what it takes to do a good job on a fake jersey/logo. To be honest alot of the ones on ebay are pretty good, and for the price you get the look and feel for a fraction of retail, know that its authentic look and feel but not correctly licensed to be authentic. Lets take for example all the authentic 40th anniversary jersey's:sidelol: :sidelol: (i'm already laughing)

This is the official 40th logo:

This is the picture of the 40th logo clock on the proshops site:
They took it off, but still searching

Here is an official jersey from the site:

Pay close attention to the 40th logo

Here is the common 40th logo from ebay:

Found on many auctions but heres one:

You can clearly see they stiched the image of the clock from the proshop onto the jersey. Any good copy cat would have done his homework, but speed to market seemed to be important to them. I personally have mastered the phins logo and the 40th logo but can't get the jersey numbers exactly perfect. It's my last hurdle till I start making my own for me and not for sale since they are fake. As much of a cheap skate that I am I don't feel like walking around with a clock on my jersey, even if i did get it for $30.

Just be warned!!! and try not to buy to many clock jersey's:sidelol:

looks good enough to me....if i bought jerseys i wouldn't want to spend the full price, so i'd definitely consider the clock ones.

Dude nice post, I never noticed that and I was actually thinking of buying one. Thank You!!!!!!!

Funny you post that.
A few weeks ago on EBAY I saw a 'BUY IT NOW' price for FOUR SEASON TICKETS (Miami Dolphins, of course), LOWER LEVEL (all in a row) for $600. Yep, $600. C'mon. That's less than a fraction of the cost. That's only $150 per seat for the season, remember, LOWER LEVEL! So naturally, I got to thinking, although I couldn't attend every game, the games I couldn't attend I would simply sell them on EBAY and get my money back a few times over. I mean, WHAT A DEAL!!!! I CANNOT GO WRONG!!
So I email the seller and ask him if this is truly for real. He responds, YES, it's 4 tickets. Ahahhhhh, FOUR TICKETS! I assume they were 4 tix out of a season ticket set. It appears this guy was portraying 4 sets of season tix for simply, 4 tickets. Now obviously, if something sounds too god to be true, it usually is. It's just a shame that there are folks out there that will take advantage and steal from the unsuspecting. Beware folks, there ARE great deals on EBAY. But for every great deal, there is a great scam.

I purchased a Clayton Jersey with sewn on patches. It didnt have the 40th logo (could care less about it). It came with Reebok tags, and the Reekbok patch on the bottom left (with size). Now, whether its really a reebok jersey or not, there is nothing there to make it look fake. I am not saying its not, all I am saying is that i have a great looking jersey, that looks authentic, for less than 50 bucks, less than the price of a "real" replica jersey.

Beautiful!! Wanna make me one?!?! :D

i just bought an orange daunte culpepper jersey from korea on ebay for 125.00 including shipping everything is sewn on and i am in love it is beautiful

dude, who cares if it's truly "real" or not. I got a Ronnie Brown jersey last year of that exact type. It looks awesome and I paid 30 bucks for it. 30 bucks as opposed to $250-300 for something that is very similar. Keep in my mind, most people aren't going to look you up and down and say...."OMG, you're wearing a FAKE jersey". OH NO!!!

Some people can't afford or aren't willing to drop 300 dollars on ONE jersey. So, for the people that go after the so called "fake" jerseys, the more power to you....enjoy it.

BTW, I also got one for my brother for $40. Its an orange one and it looks great, he wore it to school one day and got compliments on it all day.

i bought a ronnie b one and its not fake.i got it from an ebay store that sells authentics

In no way was I telling anyone to buy a $300 jersey, I'm just saying realize that what you get at a fraction of the cost sometimes has flaws.

I have bought 2 official reebok blank jerseys and sewn on the dolphins logo's. all i need to do is the numbers And I'll have my own fake for less then $50. the point is if your going to get a cheap fake at least make sure it looks good. I'm not a fan of the 4oth logo jersey's but come on a clock.. thats a little much. And while no one will mock you for wearing a fake authentic, I will laugh at you for wearing a clock patch

I bought three of those last year (white, aqua, and orange). I also own an authentic one that I purchased from the NFL proshop. Honestly, except for slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) smaller numbers and the clock hands on the logo, those jerseys are pretty much identical. To each his own, but here's some advice: I got THREE jerseys for $90 vs ONE for $300+. To me, the difference is not worth $270+. If you want to spend that kind of cash just to know it's authentic, I won't knock that. But, if you honestly think that it's not a good deal... you are sorely mistaken.
