Falcons | Dunn requests release

Jim Trotter, of SI.com, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Warrick Dunn has requested his release from the Falcons.

He could provide us depth at running back and brings a wealth of experience. Im not saying we should but what do you all think?
 
no - too much like booker & he will want more carries than we can hopefully give him.
 
We have a younger cheaper Warrick Dunn in Lorenzo Booker. Hell, they even went to the same alma mater. Dunn is a great guy but I think he's probably "dunn" in the league.

Aren't I clever?

Dunn has been one of the best guys in the league in what he does off the field. I hope he goes to a team that can use his skilz, but we have LoBook who is a younger Dunn.
 
I don't think He is the same back that he once was. We have a log jam of backs here at the moment anyway with Ronnie, Ricky, Chatman, Cobbs and Booker. Now if Parcells brings in Julius Jones or someone of that ilk, we will be carrying six backs. I think that means bye bye to Cobbs and Ricky.

WE have LoBook...he is our 3rd down guy. We need a reliable #2 who can spell Ronnie on 1st and 2nd downs occasionally and later in the game, not another 3rd down guy...I like Dunn, but he's not for us...
 
People......we do not need to consider every single player cut that has a name we are familiar with :rolleyes:
 
great back, maybe still has some gas left in the tank, but as everyone already knows, we just don't need him
