With their loss vs the Saints, it makes it so that if we win next week we are only 1 GAME out of 1'st place in the AFC East.

There are then 4 games left in which we could make up that 1 game by winning on a week where the pats lose.

It might be a long shot but it's by no means out of the question. 1 game out with 4 games left = you still have a chance.

How could anyone root for the Pats when we are still this close to being right back in the playoff hunt??? :ponder: Saints still have to win 8 GAMES STRAIGHT if they wanna win it all don't give me that "defending the record" nonsense.

I was hoping Sean Payton would keep the 1st team offense out and throw all 4th quarter and go for it on 4th down at the 2 minute warning while up 3 tds. REMIND YOU OF ANYONE?

I couldn't care less if they went undefeated. They're a damn good team. It wouldn't diminish what the '72 team did in the least. Will it happen though? Not likely.

Besides, outside of Atlanta fans, who actually dislikes the Saints? I think they are the national "second favorite team."

hell no never do i root for NE. I will root for the jets before i ever root for NE. I know jets are more hated then NE when it comes to us fins fans, but for me my whole family are NE fans i can even start to explain how much that sucks.

I still take NYG as my 2nd team for what they did two years ago.

I never root for them. I love seeing Bill Belichick standing on the sideline helpless and confused.

Why anyone would root against an undefeated season i'll never understand. Especially this early. 14 teams have started 11-0, only one has finished through the Super Bowl undefeated. Neither of these teams will do it. If the 2007 Patriots couldn't, nobody will. Plus even if they do, who cares? Honestly.

Plus they can never take away that we were the first to do it. That is what fins fans should be proud of.

I agree completely I can't believe how many people were saying "go pats" last night I would never root for that team unless it directly affected the fins playoff chances... then I would hope they win but still never say something like "go pats"...

Belicheat had a look on his face last night I saw weekly on Camorons face in 2007! :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

i would never root for the pats unless it actually helped us get into the playoffs.

with that said however, even with the pats loss lastnight, it is still very unlikely for us to win the division. even if we do beat the pats this weekend, that takes us to 6-6 and them to 7-5. we then split the season series so thats irrelevant in tiebreaker terms. The next tiebreaker term would be division record, and the only way miami can actually finish ahead in the tiebreaker is if new england loses to buffalo.

if new england dosent lose to buffalo, then they get the tiebreaker due to 4-2 divison record and us 3-3. so therefore we would need to finish better overall, and since they have 7 wins already, and after us assuming they even to lose us, they have games vs carolina, vs jax, at buff, and at hou. if they win just 3 of those 4 games which i dont see them losing, since carolina dosent have a qb, and jax isnt good away from home, and couple that with being in foxboro where the pats havent lost a game yet, its likely pats win both those games.

now if they lose to buffalo, we can afford to finish 10-6 tied with them bc we would get the tiebreaker, but odds r since buffalo rlly isnt that good and we just made them look good, new england would beat them. it is good though to at least have some hope though, and if we win our games, hope is all we can ask for.

after we lost to buffalo it didn't matter to me outside of fantasy football.

Saints kicker clearly had money on the under.

I laughed my *** off at them getting smoked by NO last night.

I love it when Tom Brady's mouth is all scrunched up into a little hole at the end of a game. He wooks soo angwy!
