think about this. Ronnie Brown wasnt a staring runningback. He did well when he played, but he wasnt a starter. I dont think he has the stamina, and he woulndt be able, to start the whole game. He will be worn out after the second quarter.

Now If Ricky comes back, then we will be paying Ricky alot, just to be a 3rd down back. Ricky has expiriance, and Ronnie doesnt.

just think, where are we weak at? QB? CB?

just think, if we would have traded down, we could have drafted, Antrel Rolle, and Aaron Rodgers.

We would then have a new Starting QB, and a staring CB. And Ricky Williams, & Kay Jay, Sammy Morris, and Lamar Gordon, and Travis Minor

Sounds better to me

Ricky's experience proves that he is unreliable. The Saints did well to draft Deuce when they had the unreliable Ricky.

That hindsight draft scenario that you are attempting to suggest shows your inexperience. No one wanted to trade up to our spot. No one.

Ronnie brown worn out after the 2nd quarter... :roflmao: :roflmao:

Ricky is unstable and having a capable young guy to back him up this year makes perfect sense. To put your football team in the same position as wanny did with no debth at RB and relying solely on ricky would have been stupid

My god...what are people doing today...

have you gone mad.

Please moderators do something about these ludicrous posts!

This is a joke right? You don't think he has the stamina to be our #1 RB? You have to be kidding if you're suggesting the best RB in the draft is in bad shape.

Let's talk stamina here. Ricky hasn't played for a year and has lost 30 pounds, but you think he is in better shape to take every down than Brown? what a joke.

Being that we still don't know for sure whether or not Ricky is really coming back or not, I think it was wise to draft Brown. Besides if Ricky comes back he may not be on the team for very long, I would see us trading away eventually (if we could find a trade partner).

What are you thinking? Brown was the Best player that was available. Ricky is unreliable and has lost weight (muscle weight).

Nobody wanted to trade down. Do you think a team can force a trade down or something? Counting on Ricky to be back and to be the way he was is not smart.

The purpose of drafting Brown was to replace Ricky, there was no one to trade down with at that point in the draft. And who knows for sure if Ricky is coming back, whether or not Saban keeps him, and if he pans out to be his old football self, Brown was the best choice at #2.
