Was Giseki playing today? Serious Question.

Make fun of the post. But I'm sick of this team throwing darts at a draft board, and when they do blindly get it right they either A: trade them away or B: not utilize them correctly.
Two different regimes, clowny! (Unless you're going back to pre-Gase, then more!)

I looked at the box score and saw 0 targets?

If he was playing why not try to pass to him? We did waste a 2nd round pick on him, with Godert still on the board.

I saw Godert score a TD on thursday. Either we dont know how to scout in the draft, or we cant coach to utilize talent.

I think it's both.

I have an explanation, on my fantasy team I was down my two top TE’s. It’s a dynasty league so I had Gesicki on my bench. So since he was starting for me, he didn’t get his normal 3 or 4 points.

Just because you saw Goedert score for Philly doesn’t mean he’d be scoring in MIA. For all anybody knows, Gesicki would be performing better on a different team too. Situations differ around the league.

How many times over the years have we seen former Dolphins leave the organization and perform better elsewhere? And fans always say, “why didn’t he do that here?” Can anyone say, Wes Welker?

Conversely, the Dolphins have acquired players that performed well for them but that underperformed wherever they came from.

Point is, it’s not as simple as you’re looking at it. The Dolphins could have a superstar receiver like Julio Jones and he wouldn’t be catching 10 passes a game as he has often done in ATL because the Dolphins don’t have a consistent pass attack due to a variety of personnel issues.

Gesicki may or may not be improved from last season and may or may not be as good as Dallas Goedert, but it’s extremely hard to know either way right now because of current circumstances.

IMO, if Dallas Goedert was on this team right now instead of Mike Gesicki, people would be complaining that he’s not showing enough either.

People need to face facts on MG..... He sucks and will not be getting better. His problem is he is a big ole puss....y!!! No way around it softer than a bag of cotton candy physically and mentally. I said it before and I'll say it again Mark Andrews was hands down best TE of that class. Gesiki is sorry, soft, and won't be on our team next year. If Gase is still in NY he will be a jet

Gesicki was the wrong pick. Just watch some game footage and you will easily see Goedert was a better prospect. Gesicki had problems with physicality and separation that Goedert didn’t. Goedert may not have been as successful here, but I guarantee Gesicki wouldn’t be as successful there.

Flores likes versatile players, which likely means Gesicki will be off the team by the time his rookie deal is up.

G’sickly & Haira$$... are the ‘Sparkly & Blotch’ of this team! sh!tty make believe players, who should be directing traffic

Dolphins have 2 players Mike Gilsicki and Kenyan Drake that are not as productive as they would like but must scare the hell out of them to get rid of, both could go to other teams and end up as big stars in the league.

Probably hold on to Gilsicki because he is still on his rookie contract and if they land Tua who is a more accurate QB who see's the field better and can throw into a tighter windows could be the answer to Gilsicki troubles, it's still possible he ends up the best of them all. He is never going to be an inline blocking TE he is a specialist who hasn't been all that special, still time for the Dolphins to come up with answers.

Time may be up for Drake who has shown flashes of good to excellent running along with some average running who puts the ball on the ground, he is coming off rookie contract next year and I believe they tried to move him this year and couldn't get what they wanted, still posses the talent to be a good to excellent player in the league maybe just not for the Dolphins if he doesn't excell the next 12 games

Easy to see why Grier liked Gilsicki last 2 years Penn State were decent and he crushed the combine. He was a bit of a reach....looking for excellence and so far coming up with below average.

Don't know why Dolphins fans think Gase liked him looking at it with a bit of hind-site all he did was misuse him asking him to block when he knew he couldn't, exposing a players weakness for all to see is not what I would call good coaching, more than likely trying to get Grier fired and replace him with his own GM. (NY Jet-Gase got GM fired) not 100% sure what the deal is/was seems like a total disconnect between GM and HC.

So over the 1yr plus 4 games Gilsicki has had one coach who totally misused him and another year of a team going thru a rebuild with a QB who doesn't have an offensive line and is not yet even an average NFL caliber QB.

I won't pretend to know what the new coaching staff thinks of Gelsicki or what his future is with the Dolphins, I will say he has little trade value at this point and unless the Dolphins find a way to help him become successful he will become another miss in an already long line of misses.

It's not over for him yet..... Tua then 2 years to see

Mark Andrews was asked to block 1 time so far in his NFL career - excellent miss-match TE, big, fast, excellent receiver who knows how to use his size - still only a specialist and only has receiver skills as excellent as they are. Backup to starter Nick Boyle - drafted in the 3rd round was an excellent pickup at that spot.

Dallas Goedert is backup to Zach Ertz, on a team with everything now QB, OL more of a traditional TE 2-way blocking-catching he in an excellent spot and has someone to learn from and is playing for a playoff spot every year now.

Mark Andrews would have been a much better pick (taken 3rd rd by Ravens), the Steelers got Vance McDonald in a trade for almost nothing and I would have liked for us to draft Eric Saubert, Oakland has him now. Gisiecki is a long strider like Matt Jones, I've seen almost nothing to make me think he'll pan out for us. What this franchise really needs is a guy like Bobby Beathard or George Young back from the glory days, makes a huge difference.

Preston Williams showed some pretty good hands and awareness yesterday, I'm still a believer in both Williams and Rosen for that matter.

Idk about the pretty good hands part, but I also believe he has talent, he got some lose hips for a man his size.

every time you see Gsickly in the pattern, he's running at or looking to run toward the sideline. boy is straight j-e-ll-o.
