The word on the street is that Nick Caserio interviewed today for the GM position; rather short interview I must say. It is also mentioned that he has turned many interview request down in the past until now (which could be a good thing). My question is was Nick Caserio at Mobile this week during the Senior Bowl practices? Also, can he be a serious option that they have been waiting on? The things that I have read about him, plus the video that I saw of him in the Patriots war room from last draft he could be a great addition to our team as the GM; if he comes to us, will he hurt the Pats???

It wasn't, It started early in the morning, full thorough interview

A simple google search turned up this: http://nesn.com/2014/01/bill-belich...l-with-patriots-executive-nick-caserio-photo/ - so yes he was at Sr Bowl

Also, can he be a serious option that they have been waiting on?
Don't know, reports say he initially turned down interview, but now decided to accept it. Reasons unknown

His interview was reportedly as lengthy as the other candidates interviews.

When I mentioned earlier that Nick Caserio's interview was complete, didn't mean to imply that it wasn't a thorough, full interview. It was.

I'm told the reason it ended earlier in the day than most was that it started crack of dawn. Just as long as the others.

I want this guy to be our new GM. The Patriots have one of the best front offices in the league and their pro personnel department is incredible. I don't know how much he has had to do with their free agent signings, but the Patriots always sign great veteran talent to cheap contracts.

It seems every year the Patriots sign someone we should have signed, from Aqib Talib to Lagarette Blount.

Caserio joined the Patriots in 2001 as a personnel assistant. In 2002, he served as an offensive coaching assistant coach for the team, while in 2003 he moved to the scouting department as an area scout. Caserio served as the Patriots' director of player personnel from 2004 to 2006 prior to spending the 2007 season as wide receivers coach.
In 2008 he returned to the personnel department, as director of player personnel. He remained in that position even after Vice President of Player Personnel Scott Pioli departed in 2009 to become general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs; former Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese was brought in as a "senior football advisor."[1] Throughout the 2009 preseason, however, Caserio assisted the offensive coaching staff, which included new wide receivers coach Chad O'Shea and tight ends coach Shane Waldron. Caserio also continued to assist the coaching staff from the press box during games along with football research director Ernie Adams.[2]

This guy has experience playing, coaching, and scouting. I have genuinely never cared so much about a Gm signing in my life, and I feel we need to sign this guy asap. He seems like the exact type of person, with the exact type of experience needed to understand how to run a football franchise.

what am I, chopped liver? ;)

No, you just didn't explain it very well. You stated everything that he did, however, I don't follow twitter, and I live in Maryland, I don't get all of the information that you guys do.

Will you settle for chopped steak??? :chuckle:
