I only ask because the Dolphins don't seem to wanna use him. He seems like a damn good rb...good mix of between-the-tackles power and break-away speed. Why draft him if you're not going to use him?

Of all people... you should know...

He was a solid pick...His stats aren't great but that's because of circumstance not because of talent. All this year we've heard about him possibly getting 250-300 carries this season and 20-25 carries a game but we haven't seen it. Blame Mularkey for that one. You Bills sold us a real lemon

Still wish we had traded down and got more picks. This is not a knock on Ronnie who seems to be a solid pro just more of a comment on how many linemen we need. My favorite players in the draft were Derrick Johnson and Alex Barron whom we could have got with a lower pick.

We probably would have picked Alex Smith if he was available but San Fran screwed that up for us. Ronnie was a good pick in my mind because he could be a productive back for years to come. Less mileage and a strong runner, sounds good to me.

Ronnie Brown was a horrible pick....but at least Miami has something now that smokey is gone.:305TillIDie:

How was Ronnie a horrible pick? The dude constantly has people in his face before the line of scrimmage, everytime he gets a decent hole, he makes a lot out of it.

Mod Edit If used properly and put behind a decent OL, Ronnie Brown is Pro Bowl caliber. Shame.

What were the other options? Braylon Edwards? I don't see the need for a WR that high with the other players on the team. Benson and Williams haven't really done anything to separate themselves from the pack. Benson has been hurt and unable to get past Thomas Jones while Williams is having a year to forget with the rest of the Bucs (yes, I know that applies to the Dolphins, too). Pacman Jones? No thank you.

It was a weak draft and just Miami's luck to get the second pick in the draft that of all years. Nobody was going to trade up. There was nobody else to take unless you can actually argue that you had Merriman that high. Virtually nobody did, though. It seems to me that the more questionable pick is Roth. I like the kid, and he's playing well. Look at the guys Miami could have had at that slot, though -- Odell Thurman and Khalif Barnes are just two players that may have been better choices in hindsight based on how the defensive line is stocked and how it would be nice to have a LB or a T.

yes i wanted k.barnes and never understood the roth pick i liked the crowder pic i wasn't upset about ronnie but the player i wanted all along was shawn merriman rminded me of junior seau

ELITE????????

He's one of the best QB's in the league right now and has a QB rating of almost 100......this kid is dangerous. Just wait until later in the season when we are putting up 35 points a game on defenses and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
