I was one of the many fooled by the offseason. I thought we had assembled great talent, enough that would overcome Philbin's deficiency. I was clearly wrong.

While there were some that predicted another .500 season, I can't recall anyone predicting the level of suck we are currently seeing.

Was there anyone on the forum or in the media that saw this coming?

I predicted our normal 7 to 8 wins but if you really studied our oline and defense esp the linebackers and corners you probably could see it coming

no way could anyone see this coming with the roster we had. I understand their were some holes with this team, but everyteam has holes. No way should this team be at the bottom of the leauge.

I predicted 7 wins as I had a feeling that Philbin would once again hold us back.

This is so Dolphins, I'm not suprised.... Last time we had this much off season hype was Nick Sabans second season. Result was 6-10 I believe. We might see that record as the ceiling for our success this season.

I wasn't fooled by the offseason-- I thought we'd have what we've had the past couple of years: a middle of the road team that could flirt with playoff contention. But they were never going to be the team that dethroned the Pats in preparation for a significant playoff run.

The fate of this season was sealed the minute Philbin was retained. I was mistaken in thinking that Philbin's farewell tour would go any different than Sparano's did.

I thought they could get into the playoffs, but never could get over Joe and Kevin coming back. Always a disconnect with me.

I'm just glad I'm drunk.

This would be too painful to continue watching sober.

Every team has holes but Linebacker has no depth and a gaping hole and we dont have have anyone on roster who is even close to a starter opposite Grimes.
Then at guard we dont have anybody close to a starter. Those are huge holes

No, I was wrong about them. The roster talent is legit, but I glossed over the reality that Philbin has been a problem for 4 years. There have been so many warning signs. This is an extraordinary failure in coaching. This is 1-15 team performance from a team with more talent than Cam's team could even dream of.

If I recall correctly one guy out of about 100 voters had us below 8-8.

I have a few bets vs others members here, that we would not win 9 games. That seemed very safe to me. I felt we were at the very best a 9 win team and could easily be a 6 win team. Predicted top 10 draft pick and have been beating the fire Philbin and Coyle drum for 2 years. Lost a bet that Philbin would even be back this year. Couldn't believe Ross was that blind. I was wrong.
