Washington is going to have a qb problem...would it be reasonable to inquire

Kirk Cousins career at QB. 1-5 as a starter. Total of 11 games played. , 58%. 14 TDs, 15 INTs. 5 Fumbles.

Dolphins have their own average QB they are trying to make a superstar. I dont want another teams average QB.

nah, you just dropped the "point".

What kind of fan says that about the dear WRs of our beloved, all-holy team? Aren't they above criticism too? I mean, they have to learn a new system as well. Granted, a WR only needs 8 years versus a QB's 10 years to learn a system, not to mention the need for every other position and coaching to be absolutely perfect, but still...

Nowhere near? 2nd NE game last year? That doesn't compare in the slightest?

no it dosent, go back and watch that game, tannehill had a nice last drive, and if u remember, we were a 4th and 5 non conversion away from losing the game, and charles clay made a sick play to get the 1st down and continue the drive.

either way, he was far from stellar that game

No one is above criticism. I just spread the love around. unlike most tannehill bashers, who put all the blame on him. I know tannehill still needs work, but so does the rest of the team.

did you watch cousins vs eagles, or are you just going by the stats?

i never hard this type of excuse for fiedler, moore, griese, lucas, freorrte, the list goes on and on..

when those qbs stunk it up, it was always they stunk.

when tannehill, sucks, lets not just focus on him, lets look at everyone else.

guess what? the same way the qb will get the credit when a team wins whether he deserves it all or not, its the same way vice versa.

deal with it, and right now, he deserves a ton of blame, he has been really bad over his last 5 games, and as a fin in general, average at the very best.

The whole "needs time" argument has been so entirely self-serving to the Tanny adjusters. Nobody else is allowed that kind of time. Technically it's all their first year in Lazor's offense too.

watched a good amount.

he was far from perfect, made a couple mistakes, but also made a ton of big plays. tannehill never makes the big plays cousins did in that game with consistency, and it shows on the scoreboard.

truth is, i have no clue what cousins will be, he has not started consistently, but in his starts, he has shown more than tannehill has imo.

tannehill in 35 starts has been the same below average to avg guy at best.

Did any of them come out of college with less than 2 years qb play? did any of them get sacked the most out of any other team in the nfl? Did any of them have WR's that had the most dropped passes in the nfl? i'm sure if there were crucial pieces of the team that was falling apart, then there would have been reasons to blame other parts of the team. those qb's just plain sucked. lol Although fiedler had some good games, he just couldn't get the team over the hump. Tannehill played his 3rd game in his 3rd year, with some huge holes in the offense, while he's been here. I'm not ready to give up on him yet, and there are legitimate reasons not to. This sunday will determine a lot though.

The haters just can't share the blame. It must all be on Tannehill.

first of all, he has, go look at his game back in 2012 vs the titans in miami, we lost 37-3, with the 3 coming very late in the game to avoid the shutout.

he threw 3 ints, including a pick 6.

ur right, he may have not thrown 4 ints, but if u saw that game that was prob just as bad.

also, one thing is for certain, tannehills best game is nowhere near cousins best game.

tanehill has not put together 1 awesome game from start to finish as a fins qb thus far.

Hey, it's not just the interceptions, it's how they happen. Those Cousins interceptions were brutal. Softballs to the defenders.

As to the best game, fair enough, Cousins had a great game against the Eagles. But -and I did watch the whole thing- Tannehill has never had what Cousins had that day (just the opposite): all day to throw, screens going 70 yards, receivers making great catches, no drops. I'm not even exaggerating, Cousins sometimes had, what, 6-7 seconds to throw the ball, no one got anywhere near him. Give him credit for throwing a nice accurate ball, but if you factor that into your evaluation of best game, I'd say yes, Tannehill has played very well under much more difficult conditions and that is more valuable in this league than destroying the opponent under perfect conditions.

Whose fault is that? I really have to laugh about this excuse. It is not like Tannehill had to sit behind another QB because that QB was so great.
In his first attempt he lost out to Stephen McGee. One of those 'franchise QBs" who was drafted in the 4th round and is now playing in the Canadian Football League. In his second attempt he was beaten by Jerrod Johnson who went undrafted and has been camp and practice squad fodder since.
In his last year Sherman gave him the job. The Aggies really had only a bunch of freshmen on their roster incl Manziel.
You really need to look back and understand why Tannehill only played in college for two years at the QB spot. He was not good enough to win and earn the starting QB.

The only person who made Tannehill a starting QB was Sherman.

You can't say a QB sucks in the NFL level, and say they sucked in the college level. there have been plenty of great college qb's who failed at the NFL level. Can't believe I have to even say that. McGee is one of Aggies best quarterbacks in their school history. Injuries is what hindered him his senior year. And tannehill took over mid season for Johnson. It's not like tannehill was holding a clipboard while trying to get the starting QB spot, he was a WR.

To answer your question, it's no one's fault. it is what it is. He has less experience as a QB, compared to the other crappy QB's that have came and went on the dolphins roster. If Tannehill was just as mediocre as the rest of the qb's Miami has had (hear a reference to henne a lot lately), I don't think he would have had the most yards out of all the other 16 or 17 qb's, since marino. Despite the crappy offensive troubles he's endured. And I know tannehill isn't 100% resolved on some of the issues. He needs work, just as the rest of the offense does. it's not like the offense is a well oiled machine, and tannehill keeps screwing up and losing all the games.

He has the most ATTEMPTS since Marino, hence the yardage. It's an inflated stat because of our lack committing to the run game. He passed 588 times alone last year and at the rate he's going now we're looking at over 600 this year. In both cases it's mindlessness. Tannehill is not that kind of QB at this point, don't know that he'll ever be.

Closest were Frerotte (494 attempts), Henne (490 attempts) and Pennington (476 attempts).

He also had one of the best seasons in the last decade of any QB suffering 50 or more sacks and the only QB to do it without the benefit of a running game. And he was the youngest to do it.
