I got a lot of questions about what the front office is doing but I really don't understand why people are upset about Matt Flynn. It's Matt Flynn. Cleveland, a team that is run by a west coast offense guru, looked at him and said 'no thanks.' Philbin, his former freaking coach, looked at him and said 'only cheap and only to compete with Matt Moore.'

That said, David Garrard, are you kidding me?

I don't think most people are questioning Irelands eye for talent, or even ability to land the trade. In my mind its more his inability to treat people with respect and earn tye respect of his peers. And when you are dealing with superstar players or big name coaches you can't expect to belittle the people you are trying to woo to your team. His position involves a great deal of political smarts as well as football smarts and he doesn't have the politics part down at all.

David Garrard would be a backup, which is a real need for us right now if we're starting Moore. Also, superstar free agents are usually only free agents because they are tainted. Very rarely do you see a huge free agent signing become worth the money paid
