Watch a breakdown of that final 2-point play

Scariest play in the world!

I'd love to see the Patriots execution on that play.

It seemed like there wasn't nearly enough bodies to block that up well enough to score.

Terrible crazy call - look at least have the RB one on one out by the hash so h has space (but no...... thank goodness it failded0

Another team ran it as well on Sunday or Monday night... can't recall but the announcers commented on how teams have been running.. I think it was Booger M (who I can't stand - but I digress) so Monday night?

On this video what do you see differently? Let's compare Patriots/Dolphins

First thing I noticed is the ball placement for the Pats way out in front / Dolphins way behind.
Pats movement was fluid blocking was executed to perfection. / Dolphins very stiff not much of a push no movement.
Pats did it with a WR and motion quick and throw was quick too. / Dolphins to a RB in motion moving very slowly and the throw was behind the LOS no movement forward which takes more time to develop.
Pats understood what the D was doing..... Dolphins not so much and they other options on that play.

Just a poorly executed play right from the start.

I saw it right away as I was a DC at USCSB.

Thanks for sharing now you get a perspective of the play. I was screaming at my TV when they broke the huddle the play is call (Motion Bsc-Straddle 32). The D was Goal Line Stack. They had it covered.

“which we don’t block for some reason…” Gee, I wonder why…

It is a good play if you execute and you have the blocking. But we have neither. Not to let Drake and Fitzpatrick off the hook but even if they would have executed properly the blocking was not there. It is not there for the entire season.

Man these videos do such a great job at showing how piss poor the execution of plays is for this team. Thanks for posting OP.

Game in and game out the lack of blocking by everyone, OL, TEs, WRs, RBs you name it, is simply breathtaking. It's like watching a masterpiece. It doesn't seem like the schemes are that complicated either.

...but I guess "these players never practiced this play" sums it up perfectly. Game on the line, THAT'S the play you want to draw upon...the one the principal players have never executed before. If that's not a tank job, that's some horrific coaching.

So, after several games of poor blocking, O'Shea calls a play that is fully dependent on perfect blocking for the win? Either he was trying to lose, or he's a bad coach who is clueless concerning what his players can and cannot do.

Watch a breakdown of what went wrong (or right if you're on-board with the tank) during that final 2-point play that gave Washington the win. Good call, good design, bad execution.

Good stuff Anthony, thanks for the breakdowns...

It's almost as if it was supposed to be a fake screen and the intention was to loft it to a wide-open Parker.
