Our UDFA/waiver wire game has shown significant improvement the last few years.

But when you get the O’Learys and the Woodards and the Chase Allens and there is consistently little drop off from your top of the depth chart guys. . . Then what the heck does is it say about your pricey starters and higher round draft picks?
 
You don’t ask a player to do what he can’t do. You find out what he’s good at and you take advantage of his talents. Don Shula knew that all to well.
 
It's pretty sad that an undrafted Free Agent TE is Miami's best o-lineman! O'Leary is definitely a keeper.
 
I like everything I've seen from him so far. Kid's a gamer!
 
he's a great run blocking old school TE that doesn't check the measurable box in any way. He's the best TE we've had in years. Hopefully Gelseki progresses into the WR threat we need him to be.
 
He is playing great and is making the Smythe pick look even more ridiculous to me.

This is the problem. During the Lions game the announcers were fawning over O’Leary which was cool but I was thinking, “when this guy is all there is to talk about we aren’t beating anybody” - in the sense that he’s not going to give you plays Geslicli was supposed to give us etc.

To be fair, we didn’t have Nick when we took Smythe but agree he could be odd man out. What’s O’Leary’s contract situation? FA after this year? Someone’s going to pay him more than we will want to just because of the Smythe pick. If he is a FA that is.
