Ole' Mr. Dan Carpenter didn't learn from the lessons that opened the door for him. HE TALKED TO THE MEDIA!!!

Just a little sarcasm.

The kid looked great. I know its 'just preseason' but kicks like those for an UDFA must feel like post season game winnners to him and he's nailing them.

But the main reason I wanted to mention him was not because he talked to the media, but what he said to them. Good quote for a kicker.

"I guess I can't ask for anything more," Carpenter said. "I'd enjoy kicking some more extra points, that's for sure."

Great mind set, now SHHHHHH! Parcells is coming!

its good to see that we have a kicker who has been accurate. mare was llike that many years with this club and he fell apart at the seams. i hope carp keeps it up and makes us clutch kicks throughout the season. i have a feeling many of our games will be decided by 3 or less

like they were last year?

i think for a kicker it doesnt matter if it pre season or not

I agree completely. In fact, I think it may be just as tough if not harder because the guys playing special teams in preseason tend to be the same guys that are fighting so hard to make the team. I bet Place kickers get more pressure preseason than regular season (playoff games and games that decide playoffs excluded)

I agree, but the thing people were concerned about the most (myself included) was the nerves. I know about the bad game he had, but Feely showed throughout his career that he could handle pressure kicks. And after these 6 kicks that Carpenter has nailed, I'm not nearly as worried.

Apparently you missed that New York vs. Seattle game from a couple of years ago when Feely missed three potential game winners.

My bad. Anyways, who cares about Feely? That guy is worthless garbage.

While I don't share quite the same feelings for Feely that you do, I agree that he's gone and we Dolfans should put it behind us. I only brought him up to give kudos to the new kid.
