Let me start by saying I RARELY complain about officiating, but these were REALLY bad. The Raiders couldn't stop our passing attack at this point in the game so the refs did it for them. Watch the back-to-back bad calls as we were driving just before halftime. There were similar bad calls in the 2nd half, but I'll just post these two because I can guarantee we would've put up points here, probably a touchdown.

It is stuff like this that makes me wonder in the refs and the league have discussions about trying to influence games for supposed NFL gain. The Gruden/Raiders was a feel good story that many see good for the NFL, going 0-3 definitely deflates that story. It makes you wonder as you do see it with certain teams and situations across the league. I know that refs are human, but this is beyond anything that could be considered human error.

I have no doubt they do. they admitted this in the NBA, why wouldn't they do it in the NFL? To me, there is little difference between the NFL and the WWE.

We seem to be on their **** list so I expect we will have to score a lot to counter about 10-14 points given or taken away by the zebras. As always, great analysis Anthony, thank you.

Both those calls were utter bs! Even Arians on the telecast said they were not penalties.

how stunned the booth was in their reaction by both calls was little comfort at the time. i really thought we were going to lose as they did everything they could to keep out of the play.

Officiating aside, it's simply astounding how people can watch clips like this and say that RT17 has no pocket awareness.

This play is all pocket ownage from beginning to end by RT.

The interior OL gets exploded back into his face in the form of a flying Kilgore.

RT absorbs the pressure and slides left and up -- INSTINCTIVELY realizing that the DT is fully engaged with Kilgore and unable to make the tackle.

So he instinctively slides up and left -- sliding, sliding until his WR clears.

But, the pocket is messy -- exploded from the snap. So he absorbs more contact from Tunsil getting pushed into him and then Tunsi's man hitting him.

Still makes the completion in timing and stride for the first down.

Courageous, purely instinctual play. Keeps his eyes up the whole time. Never breaks and runs (and throws ball away) once pocket crumbles.

Watch Brady play. Any interior explosion like this has him ducking and running for cover. Choosing to toss the play rather than risk heavy contact.

Everytime someone says that RT17 has poor pocket presence, I just shake my head. He's done stuff like this for countless snaps -- making plays with a nonexistent or exploded pocket.

I don't even understand how they call PI on Stills since the ball wasn't even in the air. He was within the 5 yard window and they were already separated again before the ball was thrown. It was such a joke!

Excellent point.

Gotta have better ball security from Wilson on that first play. The man was holding the ball like a damn loaf of bread

Well, like someone else said already, it'll probably be worse up in NE this week.

those 2 calls were just unfathomable. Totally expect to see a number of these this weekend however.

Thank you for showing those two, one as absolutely going out of my mind from both those calls, and I wanted to looked at them again to figure out if there was something I was missing by being in a sports bar...nope, exactly what I thought...horrible calls.
