Watch this and tell me you don't like what you see:

This thread is a joke. Smith is garbage, one game doesn't make a good QB. Someone pull up Feidler vs the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Wow, let's re-sign Feidler!

I've seen Smith play, it's just retread redux all over again. A Miami tradition.

Smith misses plays more often than not, if you've seen him play a lot you'd come to realize this.

I'm trying to come to terms that Smith is a strong possibility for this team.

Some upside in regards to him 2011 is that he led 6 game winning drives according to pro-football-reference. I like that stat.

Also with people knocking on his stats not being crazy good, they didn't let him throw a lot. Yeah he would have more picks but his other numbers go up too in that case.

Add the fact that he has wheels on him.

Can we get some video of the Giants game, too? Where Smith plays like crap against a very marginal Giants defense at home, and 75% of his team's passing offense is accounted for by a couple of great plays from Vernon Davis? Where he manages to lose in the NFC Championship, at home, against a 9-7 team, despite having the best defense and rushing attack in the NFL?
I don't know if I would say they had a marginal D. Their whole team really came together somewhere around the end of the 3rd quarter against us. Kicked ass the rest of the way.

Does Vernon Davis come with that? LOL

He threw checkdown passes to Gore and a couple to Davis. The 2nd Throw to Davis is an INT if Davis doesn't take it away from the defenders!

Yeah he would be good throwing to Marshall.......oh wait.....we don't have him anymore.....nice work FINS!

Giants defense is not marginal. They were good enough to beat the Patriots, and that was arguably the best offense in the NFL.

He look like a much better QB than Flynn.

I am so sick of this bull**** i keep reading about no players wanting to come to Miami, just because they didn't sign Flynn. They didn't want to pay Flynns asking price, just like they didn't want to pay Ortons asking price. Right move last year, right move this year.

I don't know, just because Smith had a good year in 2011, does not make him an effective QB, on the other hand he is not horrible either, and having different coordinators every year did not help. If we can get him cheap, then take a chance and draft a QB.

the same team that won the super bowl? the same ones that beat the high powered brady offense? the ones with the nucleas who also beat the 07 pats ? those guys? that team? the team that beat the Packers and Aaron rodgers?

oh yeah . . that team . .

I live in the Bay Area & have been watching him for years. Smith is Henne v2.0 ... they both can play a little, but make mistakes ... both QBs can't win games, must rely on team to win.

I don't see Smith coming here ... if he has to play with our talent it will crash his career, and he knows it (been doing it for years on SF's poorer teams). He'll hope to stick in SF so a little of that glory rubs off on him ... he's resurrected in SF a bit, but FO & fans still want an upgrade as they know he's holding them back.
