I see Chad Henne, Safe throws/checkdown king and then bad throw downfield.

I have played this game before....

I will say it REALLY SUCKS not getting one of the two guys " QBs " most of us thought we were getting, but Chad Henne doesn't win that game, and he also doesn't win some of the other 4th Q come backs Smith has had as well.

Smith is better then every QB we have had other then Chad Pennington since we had #13.....and he did have a good year last year.

It is an upgrade , just not the kind we all wanted.

Can we get some video of the Giants game, too? Where Smith plays like crap against a very marginal Giants defense at home, and 75% of his team's passing offense is accounted for by a couple of great plays from Vernon Davis? Where he manages to lose in the NFC Championship, at home, against a 9-7 team, despite having the best defense and rushing attack in the NFL?

I live in the Bay Area & have been watching him for years. Smith is Henne v2.0 ... they both can play a little, but make mistakes ... both QBs can't win games, must rely on team to win.

I don't see Smith coming here ... if he has to play with our talent it will crash his career, and he knows it (been doing it for years on SF's poorer teams). He'll hope to stick in SF so a little of that glory rubs off on him ... he's resurrected in SF a bit, but FO & fans still want an upgrade as they know he's holding them back.

except, smith did win that game. He also put them in a very good position to win against the giants.

I just had a nightmare. Smith does not sign. We cant sign anyone else better then Gerrard. We cant get Tannehill with number 8 pick cause he browns drafted him or Jags trade their pick to someone that does like KC or even Seattle.Then after all that Moore decides to hold out cause he is not making a starters salary 2.7M. He wants Flynn type money and holds us hostage becasue remember he is in his last contract year. Is this a GM nighmare or what?

I'm sure this was already said, but are you referring to this year's Giants team that had a defense hold Tom Brady in check to help them win a Super Bowl?

I thought the video demonstrated a couple of things. His accuracy on the two Davis passes was very good. He put the ball in two perfect places. The first pass allowed Davis to continue up field and let him make a big play. His arm strength was better than I thought as well.

To respond to the he was never any good posts. I remember Drew Brees being a very marginal QB for a few years as well. Some QBs develop later. That doesn't mean that Smith is Brees, but that people need to step back and stop making absolute statements about players. They do get better sometimes, especially QBs.
