watch this:Beck never had time.

watch at :44 seconds, one of the only couple times in the game he actually gets normal time in the pocket... perfect pass to ginn, and there were like 5-6 defenders in the area.

I know this video has been up forever, but just watch how many defenders are in his face, and the few times that there not, the recievers werent open too much. Some bad passes as well, but accredit that to rookie jitters, and just simply bad throws (all qb/s make bad throws at one point or another).

play calling sucked too. Most of them were 5 and ins and short crap with the reciever not having enough time to separate from the D.

In that video Beck looked very good, but I still am not going to judge him at all on last season. With that team, I don't know very many rookie quarterbacks that would have done very well in that offense. You can see by just watching some of that video that our wide receivers couldn't hang onto a ball this year, and not to mention our line wasn't that great. This year I think things will be different. Beck has a solid offensive line, and Ginn is getting better and better. Not to mention the addition of Ernest Wilford will help this offense out a lot on third down. Also, Fasono is an upgrade from Martin, but that's not saying much.

Any time you start a rookie qb, the other team is going to blitz alot. So the first thing a young qb needs to learn is the dink-and-dunk short-passing-offense.

John Beck was not very good at executing this dink-and-dunk offense. It's not something you really have to learn at college.

Add some nerves to a debut outing, and Beck was no good. If we had better lineman who could pick up the Blitz, perhaps Beck would have played better.

Trent Green and Cleo Lemon were pretty good at this dink-and-dunk offense. Much better than Beck.

Beck had a pretty good final outing... I haven't given up on him.

Cameron was a little slow at the beginning of the game to switch from a 5 or 7 step drop to a 3 step drop. Additionally, you could see Beck pressing a little bit, and tossing the ball a little too hard and a little too high. That is my 2 cents.

Looked like he had plenty of time to me. His movements looked rushed, he looked like a rookie. That was the big thing with Trent Edwards, he always was calm, didn't look like a rookie, even though he also made rookie mistakes.

Your OL held up pretty good in this video considering there was a rookie QB and the Eagles were sending LB's.

lmaoo only b/c ur a bills fan.
Edwards was horrible. what was his avg again? 10 for 15 passing for 95 yards? lmao what a QB!

Man he looks good..

I just recently transfered all 16 games from my harddrive to DVD and I got to see all Becks plays again.... He just seems like he has everything, great arm, great feet, great pocket presence. He just seemed a little nervous or flustered sometimes, maybe not used to the speed of the game. But that to me is a good thing because that should pass in time.

I have no idea if he going to be our franchise QB, but he sure looks like he has what it takes. It was really exiting to watch him last year. I haven't seen a QB for the Dolphins with those kinds of skills since Marino.

It was stated, when he had time he made nice throws. Typical Bills fan:rolleyes:

I can't wait for the season to start so someone steps up and we can stop this
