Watch Tj Mcdonald's Huge Stop On A 3rd And 1

He’s a solid player.

He’s a slightly less good Jones in the run game, but a better Jones on the backend.

He’s our new SS

Meh I disagree. He’s a good player, yes but Jones is a better player against both the run and pass and is a more sure tackler.

Agree with you... however when considering value - he's a SIGNIFICANTLY better value for the team.

Even before the malcontent stuff, if I could expel Reshad's contract and start TJ in his spot, the drop off wouldn't be TOO much, and the money saved could get us another almost blue chip player. A good team would find that value. TJ has flaws, but he's good enough to be the starter on an excellent team in regards to skill vs value of pay.

If they can't repair this relationship we may have to give a 3rd round pick to someone just to take on his contract. Not good.

That was a good play by TJ, I think the guard and FB just whiffed. The real deal on that play was Kiko if you watch the slow-mo from the endzone. I hope his instincts rub off on McMillan 'cause he takes a wrong step and is late while getting crushed by the OLine. Watch the above video starting around 1:15 and see the LB's. McMillan almost took Kiko out if Kiko wasn't so quick.

The chef has his flaws but even he is rounding into shape.

Yep.

There isn’t a variable to undermine Jones playmaking ability . . . .it is almost like that “it factor” in a QB.

That in itself is the reason Jones is thought of so highly.

But absolutely for the position he plays and what we are paying it . . . It is such a poor value. And like we have said in other threads . . . .glaring weaknesses in coverage and obvious off script detriments over the years.

I absolutely would roll with TJ/Fitz in 2019 if you could dump the Jones contract. Unfortunately that is the stuff of fairytales.

Good play by TJ, but I can’t take my eyes off the false steps and poor vision of McMillan. First he steps left, away from the pulling guards, then he takes a poor angle and gets sucked up in the middle while the run is heading off tackle. Sheesh!

Maybe pairing Jones with the under disappointing Charles Harris could get back decent value. I just don't see Harris developing into anything special at the DE position

I predict that he will have to play LB in some scheme in the future. Probably not Miami

This is how you use McDonald. Both him and Jones can play up near the LOS.

Should have went to a 4-2-5 defense.

Needed to have a good game cause he was bad last week.

I wouldn’t be pulling reshad off the field for this guy matt Burke.
