While Toniu Fonoti was playing guard against the Lions I repeatedly saw one thing, the Lions player he was blocking was always on the ground. Might be to early to say but maybe he is the missing link the oline needs a powerful big run blocking guard to match Shelton on the other side.

He looked aggressive, but I didn't see that. CK Parrothead has some good play by play analysis of Fonoti's performance in another Fonoti thread.

Merged: why Fonoti today??

One thing is for certain. Fonoti sure looks the part. He is a massive human being. Listed at 350 but looks 380. If he can finally live up to his billing we'll have a dominating guard for years to come.

Houck should be able to turn him around....he played great under Houck in SD, so we'll see

what a huge boost he would be if he did live up to his potential in Miami

the mans problem was never talent, its his work ethic and eating habit.

Looks like Coach Houck likes to work with the big guys ... Fonoti is about as big as they get. We've got to have one of THE biggest, baddest looking offensive lines in the NFL. I just hope they have the quickness and speed to open up some big holes for our backs and they can pass protect well.

Fonoti is definitely a "widebody" .... like one of those Airbus A380s:

Check out the head and neck on Fonoti:

I know I wouldn't want to mess with him. He's definitely a guy you'd want watching your back if you went to a biker bar or something. He'd probably freak out the biker guys. :D

Check out this picture of Fonoti.

I hope he cuts his hair... Looks like a rat tail.

But he did look alright, the whole 4 plays he was in
He was actually in for 9 plays..:D
He looked ok..once he gets his hands on the guy he does well...Jacox actually didn't play bad..Jacox has a little more quickness and is better on his feet than Fonoti.

i can vouch that he planted the dtackle he was blocking..exspecially the first play he came in
