Watching the playoffs

What these games in the playoffs have shown is that the RB position is still a major factor in winning important games.
Not to Mention a stout D. The Seahawks and Pats both won their games today using the ground and pound game.

BTW how in the hell did this thread turn into a Lets bash Tannehill thread?

Watched the Patriots beat down on the Colts. We beat both the teams. To me we lack coaching depth and skill to beat the Patriots in the playoffs. I can't imagine us beating them on a day like tonight. I hope we get a good GM with some great draft picks. Then unless some miracle happens and Philbin figures it out; we will be looking for a new coach next year. Very depressing as we watch these teams. The good news is that nobody is as good as the patriots. Seahawks are good. Colts will be like the Phins with Marino. They may never get there with Pagano and company. Seahawks are good; the 49'ers are good. The rest are pretenders. I can't believe the Broncos will beat the Patriots.

So you're unhappy with things you think people would have said but actually didn't say.

Sorry if you are unable to follow. I'll keep things simple for you if it helps. I sick of the Tannehaters on this site claiming that people make excuses for Tannehill while holding players of other teams to a different standard. Clearer now? It would be nice to have discussions about real issues with the Fins without the haters coming out in force.

We match up with the Patriots better than the Colts. At least we did before the Pats turned into a running power house. We would not have beat them tonight, but when they tried to pass on us, we shut down Brady in both games this season.

so nobody is gonna put any blame on andrew luck tonight? I've asked several times and nobody will blame the man at all?

so in other words, you are putting a lot of blame on andrew luck for the colts loss tonight?

luck made some terrible decisions, im not putting all of the blame on luck, but as many great plays that he made, he also made some terrible plays that led to pats pts, including the pick 6 to start the game.

but i am not getting into this discussion, because luck has played really well in his 1st 2 seasons and is living up to the hype, while tannehill has not shown really as of now why he is our franchise qb.

the reason you believe he is and many others do, is because he was a '' 1st round pick and 8th overall'', just like u and many others held on to hope until chad henne was cut that he was going to be our savior, u guys r doing the same thing with tannehill.

now tannehill is better than henne prob, but that is not really an accomplishment. he needs to be better than the majority of qbs in this league, and so far, he has not been able to show on a consistent basis that he is capable of carrying a team.

next year if he does not improve and we go 8-8 or worse, i hope this team is certainly smart enough to move on, or should he be given a 4th, 5th and 6th year as well?

todays nfl is made for offenses to dominate, for qbs to be able to come in and be effective from the get go, its not like the 80s 90s and early 2000s where qbs would be drafted and sit for a year or 2, todays game is made for offenses to dominate, and any team with a strong qb does just that.

Okay, so less than a majority but some?

Hey, when your OL gets beat like a drum all game, you still gotta get a dig in on the QB, right? I mean a good QB shakes off 7 sacks, no running game, and dropped passes and just wins right?

I can follow you just fine. I teach children so I've become fluent in the language of whine. When someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean they don't understand you; it means they think the thoughts you're expressing have little or no merit.

And all those problems just materialized in the last two weeks, right?

here's the bottom line truth...6 of those 7 picks by andrew luck in the postseason were completely on the qb...the only one i can even give him any credit was the zone defense undercut by the wide corner flowers last week where he thought he would drop off

here's another bit of truth...ryan tannehill is a better qb already in a clean pocket than andrew luck...i swear lucks placement and accuracy in a clean pocket is hit and miss...what luck's elite at is making plays in a muddy pocket under duress...he's the best young qb in a muddy pocket i have ever seen...this doesn't mean he handles blitz pressure the best cause he doesn't but he deals with more quick pressure from a front player better and makes more plays despite it down the field than any young qb in football...

it's crazy cause 99 percent of the time you get the exact opposite...guys are better in clean pockets...not with andrew luck...rare exception...his accuracy and placement gets better he becomes more dangerous a play maker...imo teams should start showing him 3 man rush fronts and dropping 8 making him make sound decisions and placement of the ball...the decisions i think will carry the placement i think is questionable...very much so
