Watching the playoffs

Anyone think that fake punt at the last few seconds in the Carolina game by the Niner's was classless?

I mean you (SF) have won and only had to kneel down. Instead you're punter throws a pass to a wide open receiver in the flat. Had he caught it, he would have taken it to the house. I say San Fran needs to pay for this. A Seattle beat down is in order. Mother ****ing pricks.

And where are all the writers? You would think they would be all over this.

Definitely not classless, kneeling does not stop the clock; it was a punt. If he catches it for a first down, not even a touchdown, they can kneel the rest of the way. They left the gunner wide open and went for the block, because they still had a chance, albeit, very little.

Yep. I would imagine he was instructed to take a knee as soon as he had the first down too.

san fran can win the los against the seahawks defense...if seattle stops the run it's curtains for san fran if they put the game in kaeps arm...

i think both the championship games are gonna be fantastic...

All I know is,I want a defense like San fran or Seattle....Damn,they're both physical as hell.

I agree we lack serious physicality to compete in the second round of the playoffs. Heck to even get in.

Philbin's style has weakened us in the run game on both sides of the ball. To me nothing is sweeter than a 10 play, 80 yard touchdown drive- in the late 3rd to early 4th - with no pass plays called. All runs, gashing, pounding, and leaving your mark run after run.

The 49ers ran 34 times 126 yards for 3.7 YPC. 1 yard and 2 yard runs softened up Carolina. Gore eventually busted a long one to help put them away.

Buffalo and the Jets imposed their physicality on us. For lack of talent and mentality, we folded without any threat of counter punch. Unless we dedicate the off season to changing our weakness in the run game - both sides, we're doomed to fail with Philbin. That finese "Green Bay" lazy crap only works if you have an all-time great back there. Even then, good luck winning on the road or a championship.

Colin K struggled against Carolina's average pass d.

Sherman and company will feast on him.

There's a big difference between QB play in the two games this weekend. You got two teams that might not have even made the playoffs without the two guys they got at quarterback in one game and two teams that probably would have made the playoffs with Jason Campbell at quarterback in the other.

I mean, seriously, just look at the YPA of those two quarterbacks in the NFCCG. QB duel of the century right there.

I wouldn't be so sure. These teams are very similar, only SF has more experience in big games.

Experience means nothing.

Colin K isn't a very accurate qb or a good qb when asked to make reads. Seattle's secondary gives him fits because there aggressive and good, when he can't throw fastballs, that are usually high, to his studs he blows.

Seriously. Wilson and Colin are awesome. Look at there YPA.

Let's not bring up there games that are worse than Tannehill has had as a pro, yet still got the win.

Yupp, all 4 remaining teams can run the ball when they need to.

Miami couldn't run the ball when other team let them.

Well Buffalo and the Jets suck too so there must be something more to these playoff teams than just being the most physical.

It might be true that Seattle could win with a lesser QB but Wilson is a beast, he's a top 5 QB in the NFL at the very least.

Peyton Manning- averages 11.6 games a year with a rating of 88+
Aaron Rodgers- 11.0
Russell Wilson- 11.0
Tom Brady- 10.3
Drew Brees- 10.0
Phillip Rivers- 9.8
Matt Ryan- 8.8
