Can someone please give me an explanation on how the TD call wasn't overturned, even though they went to New York?? He was obviously was bobbling the ball before he hit the pylon??? WTF??? I know the Jim Kelly and Ralph Wilson dynamic was involved in a lot of the officiating but the Bills got a free TD today. I know it did not matter but I would like the correct call in a game of this magnitude!

It should of been a touchback.

He was losing possession at the 2 and then threw the ball at the pylon. It was clear enough to see that, the inconclusive argument IMO was irrelevant. Had he kept possession, you could say he crossed touched the line prior to throwing it at the pylon but he was losing possession at the 2 and never regained it. Should of been a fumble and once it touched the pylon it should of been a touchback.

Refs blew the call.

Well the way they were playing it would not have mattered.

Horrible blown call. There is no point having replay if a play like that won't be overturned. It was exactly the same as the play against the Saints a few years back, where SI ran a picture of the ball coming out before crossing the goalline.

It was definitely knocked loose by grimes. However, it looked like he may have regained some control prior to extending it or dropping it on the pylon. In the replays that I saw, I could not pick up the ball well, after it was bobbled, until he reached out to the pylon. Sucks, but I think they didn't see enough to overturn. We may have gotten very unlucky if he fumbled it and it fell on the pylon, like he was extending it. If we had played better, this would have upset me more.

I guess my question is, are all replays out of NY now ?
The on field refs had final say on relays to avoid the *mysterious* call.... this call supports that illusion.. with 8 other games going on it doesn't seem that this call got the time for review it deserved.

Those refs know they would never get out of that place alive without those "homer" calls. It's always been that way.
