Nick Saban is his own person, with his own priorities, and his own life.

He's got his own responsibilities in life, and in his job as a head coach.

Please stop whining about how he's a traitor or liar. Those are are upset/annoyed by it aren't accounting for the fact that as a head coach, he must play a specific role, towards the press and the public, and the fans, etc. Everything Saban says in his press conferences (and any statement that can be made public in general) are said with respect to this fact. So, while he's the Dolphins coach, his actions/words are gonna all revolve around him being solely the Dolphins coach. Hence, his persistency in disputing the Bama rumors. He's forced succumb to this "role" towards the public during his time as the Dolphins head coach.

I cannot blame Saban for any of his words/actions regarding how he handled the Bama situation, and as far as "lying" goes, I don't think anyone else is justified in being angry with him. The decision on the Bama job was his own perogative. And his tenure with the Dolphins was at all times revolved around being solely the Dolphins coach, which is how it should be towards the public.

So, sorry, but those who take it personal are not justified and just need to shut up about how much of a liar and traitor Saban is.

As a Dolphin fan I'm not upset he left. It's not like he was having a ton of success with the phins, but there is no question that he has integrity issues.
He didn't have to say to the media that he wasn't going to be the Alabama coach and yet he did.

He lied repeatedly and that is poor character.

:yeahthat: Not to mention a QUITTER

First of all...people post to the site to vent and speak their minds. Who are you to call Dolphins fans whiners because we are pissed and let down?
Saban did lie...repeatedly. He then went back to Wayne pushing for more money. He is not loyal to anything but the almighty dollar and let a lot of fans down. He can't be trusted..ever...ask any LSU fan. If you don't fulfill a contract then you should expect criticism.
Having said that and reading on, it seems most on the staff and team won't miss his dictatorship style. I have to side with those who had to work with him and say "GOOD RIDDANCE."

to say something like that is ridiculous and again isn't accounting for the fact that he has the right to make his own personal decisions reagarding his career. He's ahowed nothing to classify him as a quitter.

ahowed is not a word. Leaving a position while still under a binding contract is actually a webster's definition of the word quit.

Interesting argument, but I reject it. He lied often and he lied badly, I'm not going to condone that. Throw in not facing the media, players, and even assistant coaches, whose lives may well be altered by his decision...

Sorry, no ghetto pass for Saban on this one.

He can take any job offered to him, and quit any job he's not happy in, but Saban specifically said he would not leave, knowing full well he was going to...so that makes him a liar. There's no two ways about it, and f him.

This is pathetic! :sidelol:

Dude, you should be writing for FOX!

Nothing except for the fact that he quit, genius.

He quit because he was overmatched and couldn't stand being a small fish in a big pond.

When your wife or girlfriend looks you in the face and she says "she is not leaving" and then she does, we don't want you to be whining either.

Look the bottom line, the guy handled it wrong!!!!
Dont tell me, the fan who buys merch/tickets, etc, that I cartigorically deny any rumor of my taking the head coaching position at Alabama. Not to mention he had his agent putting feelers out during the season to see if anybody wanting him!!! I put my heart and money into this team ,and you damn skippy I have a right to be pissed off at the guy!!!!

But with that said, dont let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya!!!
He is good at evaluating talent, not good at coaching pro athletes!!
