How did Magic Johnson, Yogi Berra, Michael Jordan, Isiah Thomas, and every other "GREAT" player do as a head coach? Aside from Bird who took his team to an NBA Finals, none have had success in recent years or in the past. (sure those are NBA guys for the most part, but this is usually rule of thumb in all sports)

I think he'll do average, it would be great for hockey if he tears it up.
 
with all the rules changes in place made for more scoring, the greatest scorer should excel...he needs a goaltender tho

Jordan was never a head coach, aside from that your right
