with all the fuss about MR. H and the sale of the team before you know who gets elected I have thought about this as a possibility. if he isnt having fun anymore why dont he sign it over to me and give me the supreme command of the miami dolphins . I will bring peace and sanity to the fin nation.

first I would take a wrecking ball to dolphin stadium and put together a comprehensive plan to build a new but smaller stadium with a dome on it just like Sam Madison suggested.

second I would protest the nfl crap of playing in europe . . I would also propose that the nfl just eliminate pre season and just have 16 games.

or I would ask for a 2 week bye and ask to eliminate the practice squad and let all teams carry 62 players .

but most importantly
I would I would bring back two of miami's hardest working players in Sam Madison and Randy Mcmichael and then i would lower tickets for my good freinds here at F.H.

SERIOUSLY I would sell the stadium to the huricanes and build a new 45 ,000 seat stadium with a dome with air conditioning,

I started this thread ya, to see what you guys would do if you were in Wayne's place.

you know how everyone one of us have played arm chair coach so why not play arm chair owner .

i dont care if its a dome but the heat is our main home field adv, so pump the heat up a little more.

Honestly, I disagree with most of your suggestions. Turf teams have lots of injury problems--dome, no thanks. The early season humidity has traditionally been a big home-field advantage for us, so again--dome, no thanks. When we're winning we can consistently fill the bigger stadium, so once again--dome, no thanks.

Kill NFL-Europe??? That's a corruption free minor leagues for the NFL that builds the brand globally. Why on earth would you want to kill our minor leagues and shrink the brand? That's the kind of thinking that made the first burger joint (White Kastle) a legend and utterly unsuccessful compared to the expansionary thinking McDonalds ... and burger analogy aside, building the brand globally is the right thing to do.

Eliminate the pre-season eh? Well if you want upsets, injuries, incredibly unprepared rookies who are already overpaid, and of course fewer sleepers given a shot, then hey, go for it. Personally, I think we need a pre-season. The only thing I'd agree to would be lengthening the season with a 2nd bye week and maybe cutting the pre-season games back from 4 to 3 to give us an extra week of football. But, anything less than 3 pre-season games is going to cause lots of problems.

I'm with ya regarding Sam Madison, except that we're in a rebuilding mode and at his age he's going to be a bit long in the tooth by the time we're real contenders (3 years ... sorry guys). As for McMichael, sure he has tremendous potential, but the guy most definitely wasn't a hard worker--he was a partier and played extremely inconsistently. While I never thought Martin had McMichael's ability, Martin is actually playing well for us at the moment and for a much lower salary ... fingers crossed that continues though.

All in all, I can't see your proposed changes bringing the peace and sanity to the Dolphin Nation that you believe it will. We are a community of opinions, not a united front. Heck, Me, Greyboy, Kdawg, and a few other posters were fighting the armies of posters pre-draft who were utterly convinced that 1) Jake Long couldn't handle speed rushers, 2) Gholston was better than Jake Long and Chris Long, and that the DT from LSU (name escapes me at the moment) was clearly the best player in the draft and it wasn't even close. I feel vindicated on all 3 counts, yet I never expected unanimous agreement from our beloved fans ... heck, even consensus is darn hard to reach. So peace and sanity might be a standard too high bro. :)

NFL Europe (aka World League aka NFL Europa) was done away with last year. I think he's referring to playing regular season games in Europe. It's cool that the English are getting regular season NFL games in their country. And I understand that the head office of the NFL cares more about money than the integrity of the game, which is the ONLY reason for playing games outside of the states. But I don't like it. I believe because of the major timezone differences and travel distances, it affects the outcome of games. And it's spelled White Castle.

well the games in London were sold out in about 1 a 2 hours.so you see that there is much intrest in the NFL in Europe.people came from everywhere in Europe to get tickets and see the game.

After all the time and money on this team and he is worried about his taxes more than a chance to win a Super Bowl in a few years:(. He is going to be rich as you know what regardless.

If you had hundreds of millions in this team would you be more worried about a championship or taxes? See why he is rich and most of us are probably average:(

It's BO's fault. He hasn't yet ascended to his throne and he's causing
gloom and panic already. There will a lot of selling going on all over the country if the ..

why build a dome in miami? The heat is a major advantage to us and the weather is beautiful in miami. We are one of the few teams that can boast consistent fan friendly weather. I also find domes unattractive, and much prefere the look of open air stadiums. I live in london and was so happy the team came over here to play and getting to watch them play in wembley was amazing i've also been lucky enough to travel to miami a few times to watch them play. There is a huge market for the nfl in europe there were people from germany, holland, france and all over europe at the game. There aren't huge numbers of fans in europe at the moment but the ones that are are very passionate about football. I understand peoples reluctance to let nfl leave america but if it grows the fins fanbase that can only be good for the dolphins.

I woulnd't be in favor of a dome, but a retractable roof wouldn't be half-bad. Wouldn't have to worry about the rain....

About my above post, don't get me wrong. I'm very happy for the European fans that got to see the game in London. I love football, and I love that people all over the world love football too. I wish they loved Americans as much as American football but our government playing world police for the last 70 years hasn't made that possible. My point is that if teams play regular season games outside of the US, it is only for the benefit of the owners to make more money. It does not benefit the players in relation to on the field play, I think it can only distract them. The NFL owners and head office doesn't care if Europeans like football, all they care about is did the game in London sell more jerseys, did it bring in more revenue than the Saints home game would have, did it make us(the owners) more money. It's not about sharing the game with the world because it's such a great game, it's about making more money. That is my point. Go Phins!
