I feel for Mr. Huizinga. He's dumped millions of $ in this organization and basically gotten nothing in return during the past few years. People have come and people have gone with a lot of empty promises and wasted draft picks.

We still have a revolving door at quarterback and our skill positions should be better. With as much confidence and trust he put in people, he's got to be disappointed. This once proud organization should be more competitive.

No one can blame Wayne for our problems. He's hired the so-called best and brightest, and shelled out the cash to do so.

However, to us fans there finally seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. We now have some proven NFL coaching talent running the show.......don't we?

You guys know as well as I do, it will take another year or two, but I wonder sometimes what Mr. Huizinga thinks of the negative hoopla surrounding his investment?

Wayne is a business man. He's smart enough to know that not all ventures come out the way he wants them. But I'm positive he has not lost 1 dime by owning the Dolphins. The salary cap alone is paid for by the revenue generated by the TV contracts alone.
However I'm sure that when he bought the team he figured his investment would come back a little faster than its doing.

All in all he is one of the better owners out there. And now we have two owners, and one of them is a real fan. I see good things on the horizon!

When I saw him crying after our one and only win last season, it was sure nice to see he cares after so many people bashed him about being a 'business man' and not a 'fan' of the team.

I myself was practically in tears for our only win.. Just nice to see that from an owner.

That being said. Yes.. He IS a business man. I am happy that he has stuck it out. Willing to give up even more money to produce a winner here. Something tells me that his nature doesn;t like failure. He's likely going to pump all the money he can into the Dolphins to ensure we win a SB. HAs it been a learning experience for him.. sure.. he's not a football man.. But now he has football man they cant chart their course towards Super Bowl infamy.. and keep his business moxy intact.. then sell the rest of his stake on winning it all.. i can just see it. Disney world.. movie of the week. .. **sniffle** Im tearing up!

Wayne takes a lot of crap from fans, almost too much. He's tried everything to try to make this team a winner. It's unfortunate that most of his desicions have backfired on him, but it is what it is.

Its as much his fault as the people he hired. He should of hired a proven guy like Parcells after that 4-12 season a couple years ago.

Don't feel bad for Wayne. He is a brilliant businessman that bought the team for 167 million and sold half for 500 million.

you could put some blame on him for the coaches he did pick. He finally did make a right choice I think and hired someone that KNOWS Football to run the show and put the staff together

That's odd that anyone would criticize him for not being a fan when you consider he was a Dolphins season ticket holder going back to their first season. IMO He is the perfect owner (Mark Cuban also fits this description) in that he is an owner who is smart business-wise but also cares about his team (as opposed to the NBA's Donald Sterling who only cares about making a buck on the team and doesn't care how poorly the team performs.)

Yeah poor Wayne....I think the Dolphins increased in value to close to a bllion dollars during his short time as owner and he sold 50% of the team for a cool half billion. Don't feel sorry for him....he is a very successful businessman who is not losing money in any way.

HEHE, it is hard to feel sorry for a Billionaire. The draft and trading draft picks is what has really killed us, regardless of coach/GM. I feel sorry for us as fans, but I still love my Phins and support my Dolphins tags on all my vehicles and wear my Phin's stuff almost as much as my Harley stuff hehe. Hopefully, we have the right people this time building a foundation for years to come.

i can't say i feel sorry for billionaires. people should feel sorry for us, the fans. we are the ones who sacrifice alot of time and money supporting this team. for nothing. the last few years.

Feeling sorry for Wayne now, eh? lol

Whatever.....

The problem with Wayne being an owner is that he IS a FAN...

The "win now" approach should have been scrapped after Wanny's resignation and upon the hiring of Saban...

I can't belive how many old former pro bowlers we signed that already had one foot out the door thinking they were the missing piece....(Chris Carter, Thurman Thomas, Junior Seau,......Joey Porter..)

Draft picks? What are those?

Oohhhhh.....those are the little thingies you trade away to fill out your roster like waivers? Right?.....
