He is a guy who puts the team matters before the lucrative matters, he made Dom Capers the most paid assistant after just 1 good year as a DC, he doesn't care about the money before carying about the fans, the team, the institution..., he waited long to pull the trigger, he wanted Cameron since the beggining (as I did) and he knew how to bring him in with patience.

And also a lot of admiration to many of the guys from FH, you told since the beginning that this was gonna happen, that WH had Cameron in his list and all the other moves where to distract other teams from getting him...

GO PHINS!!! IM A CAMERON SUPPOTER!!!

I dont know about all that, what worries me is eailer this month Arizona, Pittsburgh interviewed him and he fell off everyones radar.. So I hope we made the right move...

Oh and I hope he wants to stay in FLA...

:shakeno:

the jury is still out on Cameron, and will be for a while.

the dude has good intentions , but only time will tell.

remember he had LT in San Diego.

and Cameron lost twice as many games in college as he had wins. :rolleyes2

i was hoping with just a one year deal, and bring in Cowher next year.

unlike Saban, Cameron will have only one season to bring the PHINS to the playoffs in 2007 or he will be on the hot seat once again. :boohoo:

We have Ronnie and hopefully Ricky at Miami, which I think could be more explosive than a single LT...

When he was the HC at Indiana he didn't have the experience he has acquired from the NFL..., remember, he made SD the most explosive offense last year and he upgraded as he progressed in the NFL, moreover, there are coaches who are familiarized with the College system and not with the NFL system who end up as trash in the NFL (Nick Saban) and there are some others which college is not for them as they come to the NFL, stay some time, learn the system and elaborate explosive things!!!

GO PHINS!!! THANKS WH, YOU ARE THE MAN!

It was stated in papers a few days ago that the reason why Cameron wasn't being considered for many jobs is because he had no personality in the first round of interiews. John Clayton on ESPNNews stated last night that the reason why he came off that way was because he was so focused on the Chargers and their gameplan. He went on to say that in the 2nd round, which he only got to with Miami, he was able to completely focus on the job he was pursuing, and was able to open up a lot more.

Oh and I hope he wants to stay in FLA...

In one of the papers this morning, it stated that his wife is originally from around here, his son is a Dolphins fan, and his in-laws live down here. Cameron also said last night in his PC that the Cameron family was THRILLED to be in Miami.

Much like saban isn't an NFL guy, Cameron seems that he isn't a college guy.
Better suited for the pros, where men are prebuilt, not under construction.
He said himself, " I'm not here to be Dean of boys"

He may have had LT in San Diego, but, he's got RB here, and whether you want to believe that LT is heads and shoulders better than RB, is up to you, but, I'd bet colored money that Ronnie has a pro-bowl season, barring injury, in 2007.

Yeaaaaaaaa about that..... I dont know why everyone is so upsessed with coach chin, he's retired! and when he comes back it'll more than likely be to Cleveland. I'll agree with you that the verdict is still out on Cameron, but let's keep this in mind. In indiana he didnt have a top ranked defense already set up. To me the biggest deal of all of this was getting capers resigned, so now the only thing Cameron has to do is run his offense and we're straight :cooldude:

He didn't fall off anyone's radar, teams couldn't talk to again until after the Chargers were eliminated from the playoffs. He got a few things in order and flew to Miami where in his second interview he showed that he wanted to be here and now his is. He even grew up a Dolphins fan too.

Maybe he was not a good fit for Arizona or Pitts. We have different needs then them. You never know about these things. I think the Dolphins have a good solid coaching staff(except MM as OC). At least we are heading in the right direction.

Yes and Saban had a better college record than he did in the pros, and so did Steve Spurier (sp) so that logic has been disproven in recent years, so give the guy your support, he had many tools to work with in SD, Or did he help create those tools??? Time will tell.....

And Arizona has a great track record in hiring HC's:sidelol: the do it so often.. Oh wait kind of like the dolphins as of late...:boohoo:

I am not putting too much into that Indiana stuff. Since 1887 Indiana has had 27 coaches only 6 left with career winning records with the last one being in 1947. It is not like Indiana is a football powerhouse, nobody can win in Indiana. I mean Indiana has only won 42 percent of their games since 1887 and they have only been to eight bowl games with the last in 1993. Just to add Bill Mallory is the winnigest coach in Indiana history with 69 wins....... he also lost 77 games. It is tough to win consistently when you can't get great recruits.

You people who keep harping about his Indiana record need to get educated, because you sound ignorant repeating that over and over again, nobody wins at Indiana.

Winning at the amatuer college level is about winning the recruiting wars, its not about how great of a coach you are.

Indiana is not a football school, not only is it third fiddle in its own state(to Notre Dame and Purdue), but it has to recruit against Ohio St, Michigan, Michigan St, Wisconsin etc etc etc.....................

There is no way Indiana is going to out- recruit those football programs, none.

Sam Wyche had a losing record there, went on to a successful NFL head coaching career, including at least one Superbowl trip.

With that said, Cam's coaching ability had little Indiana as the Big tens top rushing team one year.

Trying to produce a winning record at Indiana in the big ten is like trying to do the same at Vanderbilt in the SEC, it ain't going to happen.

Haven't we all learned something about college coaches recently?, such as the liar Nikki Saban, when they can't win by being great recruiters their lack of coaching skills gets exposed, you can't stockpile talent in the NFL.

Why do you think little nikki ran back to the college game?

By all accounts, including no less a legend than Gil Brandt, Cam Cameron is better suited to the Professional level, even Cam's ex-players from Indiana say that, such as O-gun.

Cams offenses at San Diego the last three years have produced scoring we haven't seen around here since Marino's best days.

This man is exactly what this team needed coupled with the other changes
that have been made in the organization, there is great reason to be positive.

Yes the jury is out, it always is until something is accomplished, that would be true no matter who we brought in here.

Even Bill Cowher, who so many here seem to idolize, it took him 14 years to win a championship, and then look at what happened to his team last year.

What you should be positive about is, this orgainzation has a good gameplan, it now must simply go carry it out and be successful at it.

Exactly....and I'd even bet Phin dollars on the Ronnie thing.

Coach Cam enters a difficult situation in Miami, like any coach would currently.

Dolfans should and will expect nothing shy of playoffs in 2007 .

If Cameron doesn't take us to the playoffs in his first year then I'm sorry he will be considered a failure.

All the tools are in place to succeed, what he does with them time will tell.

Dolfans will not wait another 2 - 3 years to rebuild.

So one year in.. one year out for Cameron.

He must Coach us into the playoffs in 2007.

I'm cheering for Coach Cam to make the playoffs next year for the one reason that would make NICK Satan look like the worthless coach that he really is.

Nick Saban

A great actor, politician, dictator.... yes

A head coach at any level :shakeno: worthless

just my opinion

I seriously doubt it will be one year and out.
