I like hearing that, and all I have to say is we better come out with at least two of these three positions filled:

OT Leonard Davis or Eric Steinbach
LB Adalius Thomas
CB Nate Clements or Asante Samuel.

I rather have:

Adalius Thomas, Leonard Davis, and Asante Samuel.

good we need to with Lance Briggs/Adalius Thomas and Eric Steinbach in FA and than a good draft we are a playoff team. we just need a few players to put us over the top, Culpepper and Ricky will help to

Not necessarily. They know what giving out big bonuses can eventually do to the salary cap. As the article said, if Nick feels they are a player or two away, they'll do it. But they won't go on a shopping spree and throw big bonuses at a bunch of players.

Adalius will be a niner. its almost gauranteed. They have the money, Nolan and him have a great history, and they need him for the 3-4 badly.

I wish but in the era of the salary cap you can't go over the cap limit. there's tons of teams who could put up billions on their pay role if the cap was eliminated. but I think the cap is a good thing, just look at baseball. they have no cap and the Yankees and Red Sox are soaking up all of the FAs and baseball is suffering it's lowerest ratings ever

That makes perfect sense. Him and Manny Lawson would be insane.

You see, that's where it's going to get tricky. Thomas may be worth the money, but are Davis and Samuel that much of an upgrade that you would be willing to screw your salary structure up by possibly overpaying for them??

If they can be had for fair market value, fine. But I don't think they're going to give out big bonuses to players that aren't elite, which I don't think those two are.

That's only technically true. The reason there was so much animosity during the last labor negotiations was because big revenue teams can offer more bonuses, etc. than small market clubs.

WH has had that policy for a while, I thought. He just has this thing about giving away large signing bonuses. That was his problem when Wannstedt was here. And I must admit, we'd be in worse shape if he allowed bigger signing bonuses in the past.

what QB's are free agents any good ones.
the best one is Matt Schuab but your crazy if you think Atlanta won't resign him, they are at ends with Vick and Schuab is a true QB unlike Vick
