Has anyone considered the possibility that Wayne encouraged Saybone to go. I believe Saybone alluded to that in his press conference. Maybe Wayne is happy and gentlemanly because he got rid of a cancer and didn't have to pay him out. Just an idea as he was going to fire Meuller had problems with many assistants and others in the organization and who knows what players.

Thats bull! Saban quit plain and simple. Saban is trying to save face on this. Its the only logical thing for Saban to do is put the blame on someone else.

Saban quit. But I have a feeling W.H. wasn't as disappointed as he might have let on in his news conference. The general consensus seems to be that Saban wasn't very well liked. I kind of had that impression for a long time.

He said Huizenga encourged him to go didn't he? Mind you who can believe anything he say

He said: If you want me to stay I'll stay, which means he really wanted to go.

Bro, Saban could have stayed here if he wanted to. Bottom line Saban quit on this team and he has a track record for leaving other teams. Not only that, if Saban was truly asked or like you say (encouraged to leave) wouldnt have Saban stayed and had a press conference. LOL

Instead of having a face to face with his players and coaches. Saban opted to have conference call with his coahes to tell everyone that he was leaving.

THink about it!

No question that Saybone quit. I just wonder if Wayne wasn't sensing that a full scale revolt might be immienent and was happy to hold the door open and not have to pay him out to get rid of the problem, I have a feeling there was a lot more going on around there than we have been led to believe. It now looks like Saybone tried to get Fischer out of Auburn to go to Alabama some time ago.

Yes, he said that. Saban makes Wanny look like a great coach for the dolphins. From what it sounds like, no one liked him due to his style. The players need to have fun and let their personalities show. Doesnt sound and it obviously showed that his style did not work. Dom Capers showed me all i needed to see. He smiled when interviewed and made a joke of it. The organization can relax now.

I really dont care anymore. Saban isnt here and we need to move on. Time to get a new coach...

I don't think Wayne Huizenga wanted to fire him, or wanted a new coach. However, I think Wayne Huizenga did kind of let him walk out the door...which is fine. You can't refute facts. The fact is, Nick Saban said I'll stay if you want me to stay. Wayne said No, go where your heart is. I'm not being apologetic for Saban, I just think Wayne understood it, realized after 2 years we were 15-17 and looked at like well, if he wants to be somewhere else, I can find a guy to get the job done here. Not to mention, listen how many times Wayne talks about winning. We weren't winning with Saban. I really believe that when Saban presented the option Wayne thought the team needed a new direction. That is fine with me.

Here is something to think about...If Miami doesnt win those 5 games out of six in the middle of the year and would of tanked it to, lets say 3-13 dont you think Saban would of been on the hotseat anyway? I really think he had a short leash anyway. And besides that if it wasnt for the old dolphin players that motivated the team in the middle of the year, we just may have been that 3-13 or 2-14 team. Saban didnt really motivate like I thought he would of.
