We almost lost the game...

I am actually surprised they bothered to notice the guy stepping out...

I don't think ANYTHING that could have gone in our favor would have been reviewed. Remember 2010 and that was in front of our OWN fans.

There is a reason they are called the "stealers"

I don't know if I would've lived through that. There was a 5 second window there that I didn't even know what to do...

I was at my Steeler fan buddy's house, watching the game with his whole family (all Steeler fans). They were going NUTS, while I stood there in disbelief during that same 5 second window. Thank God Brown stepped out lol.

The defense should have never allowed it to happen, period. Fact is they choked again with the game on the line, big time. If he steps a few inches to the right our season is basically over. I know he didn't but I'm still furious that it was allowed to even get to that point.

I agree. Whether a penalty is called or not, the players still need to get the job done. If Brown hadn't stepped out of bounds, I don't think that there would have been conclusive evidence between lateral and forward pass to overturn the TD... these types of calls normally don't go in Miami's favor. Miami got lucky that Brown made a mistake, as they should have made a tackle before the ball even got to Brown.

Dion Jordon was the only one hustling at the end. Elerbe and Odrick were practically walking out there.

It is reviewable but I don't know if it was conclusive enough to overturn it. Pretty sure the Steelers weren't properly set when they snapped it either so that play never should have happened in the first place. Refs ****ed up several times on that play.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the last would be tackler got close enough to get him that it forced him towards the sideline more than he wanted to be thus forcing him to step out?

I must have rewatched the Ben lateral 50 times now and from that angle I really couldn't tell. It was close as the ball was held out when he tossed it and may have traveled half a yard forward. I'd love to see different vantage points. However you are right, those are calls we usually do not get.

...because these idiots can not even see a forward lateral. Thank God he stepped out. Once again, crappy officiating in the NFL.

The play that never should have been because on 2nd down both our sack leaders - OV and Wake made big Ben fumble. Even if Wake's TD did not count it was a sack a fumble and a recovery. So the idiot blind refs would have been left to review a play that never should have been. It's so frustrating!

I recall telling my wife that there'd be a flag for a forward lateral then couldn't believe there wasn't one. We almost got robbed once again.

Ozzy rules!!

Well i called the forward lateral but didn't see the flag. I didn't know it was ben either. since TDs are all reviewed, would that have been reviewed also? Since it was like 15 seconds before that idiot stepped out?
You are correct. However, even if reviewed, they could argue that there was insufficient evidence to prove that the lateral was forward because of the camera angles. We were pretty lucky that Brown put his foot over the boundary line.
Ironically the last time we played Pittsburgh in Miami, the game went down to the wire and was decided by a terrible call by the ref. One of the worst examples of a game being decided, that I have ever seen.
