As much as I love JT and hate to see him go...it had to be done. We drafted DE and DL and we have some young guys (Matt Roth etc) on the roster already....all with tons of upside and potential.

All in all Miami is a few years away, but we are one of the youngest squads and could suprise this year. There are a LOT of "if's"...

IF:
-Ricky and Ronnie stay healthy, that is a viscious backfield, possibly even the best in the NFL...
-If Jake Long plays well (like Joe Thomas did as rookie) our OL can be one of the best...it was already a young, strong group last year believe it or not.
-If we can get one of the talented young QB's to step up and succeed (also depends on "if's" # 1 and 2)
-If Tedd Ginn develops like he began to do at the end of last year
-If our YOUNG defensive group matures well and gels.
-If our secondary stays healthy (see the amount of injuries from last year)

I guess what Im saying is football is a sport where 'worst to first' is very possible. Is Miami going to finish first? Probably not, but if things go well for them they could get 8 wins.

Yeah it should be exciting to see what happens. Any way you look at it were going to be better than last years 1-15.

Every season starts with the "ifs" and plays out as it goes along. Yeah, hated to see JT go, but, in all actuality, we got lucky that the Redskins had bad luck and we were able to get what we got. (maybe thats a sign the luck will find us a few times this year). I kinda think Miami will do pretty well this year. Who knows but IF the IF's become, wow look how this team is doing, maybe we will have a competitive year and be playing for something in DEC. No one knows, no one (except you know who).

I for one am excited to watch this team being rebuilt. For the first time I can remember we have a complete roster of players who you can't hang a hat on and say.. "Miami Dolphin"

What ever vets we have are through FA, and our rookies have yet to shine. Of the players we've drafted in the past few years no-one besides Brown stands out in my mind.

We are going to see a contender being built from the ground up. Stars being made. And for a once in a long time.. they'll be in a Dolphin uniform.

Everything that possibly could go wrong went wrong last year. We were better than our record indicated. Something like 5 games we lost by 3 pts. Have we gotten worse? Absolutely not! We are much better! I say we win 6 without trouble. If things go well, could be an 8 win season.

I like it as well. Believe it or not, these are exciting times! This is the time where we get too see young players step up and start taking some ownership of the team. New leaders, a new brand of football, and I love it! Awesome stuff, indeed!

I would say that with 5 of those 6 "ifs" holding true this season, we have a decent shot at .500 football (I would say the first of which is probably most important)
