Ever since this coaching staff took over they have been preaching 3 main things: (1) Build from Inside Out (2) Stop the Run (3) Rush the passer. Well this next game and the Tennessee game are exactly that. These two games are very much like the Carolina game. Both teams run the ball very very well and have a AVERAGE QB (Although running QBs seem to give us fits). We need to make the QBs beat us and as premature as it may be, I like our chances with Davis and Smith vs Gerrard or VY. I know we have dropped down to #14 (giving up 107 yds/game) in run D, but I think we are still pretty good against the run. I think we've given up 100 yards to only one rusher this whole year...102 to Thomas Jones in game 2. We also seem to do much much better when we need to shut down only ONE RB as opposed to two back tandems. Both of these games should be ours if the coaching staff truly feels they are doing the job they set out to do.
