Ever since this coaching staff took over they have been preaching 3 main things: (1) Build from Inside Out (2) Stop the Run (3) Rush the passer. Well this next game and the Tennessee game are exactly that. These two games are very much like the Carolina game. Both teams run the ball very very well and have a AVERAGE QB (Although running QBs seem to give us fits). We need to make the QBs beat us and as premature as it may be, I like our chances with Davis and Smith vs Gerrard or VY. I know we have dropped down to #14 (giving up 107 yds/game) in run D, but I think we are still pretty good against the run. I think we've given up 100 yards to only one rusher this whole year...102 to Thomas Jones in game 2. We also seem to do much much better when we need to shut down only ONE RB as opposed to two back tandems. Both of these games should be ours if the coaching staff truly feels they are doing the job they set out to do.

If we can beat the Pats, we can beat either of those two teams.

It all depends what team comes out, the team that beat the Pats, or the team who got stomped on by the Bills.

You are absolutely correct... The Dolphins must respect and prepare for those opponents as though they are playing against the Patriots!

Tennessee will be very tough on the road.

If you are the Titans you'd be thinking you match up very well against the Dolphins.. Vince Young and Chris Johnson against our slow and mediocre inside LB's ? not pretty

And teams have run well on us running sweeps to the left. Like DeAngelo buried our defense with over 9 yards per carry, mostly to the left.. I thought it was a crime that Carolina didn't run DeAngelo more when he was tearing us apart when he did run. He only saw 13 carries. Chris Johnson is faster and more explosive.

And we have sucked against mobile QB's. Vince Young has been great.

that combo of Johnson and Young has to scare you with this defense. Look what Fitzpatrick and Fred Jackson did against our D on the road just 2 weeks ago. Young and Johnson are far better and more talented than those guys.

And the Titans have a far better offensive line than the Bills had... a gazzilion times better. The Titans looked bad early in the year, but that was only because their secondary was depleted with injuries, they are healthy back there now. And Kerry Collins was terrible at QB, he's on the bench now.

That Titans team on the road in their stadium should scare the dickens out of any Miami fan. I think it will be our toughest match up of the final 4 games... especially when it's the 2nd travel game in back-to-back road games.

I'm tired of this topic of conversation. We are built to be a 6-6 team, that's it.

We can use Pat White as Vince young in practice let him run around the outside etc. I think it should be 2 wins, but thats why they play the game...

I think you have to be real careful about the blitz packages in these games. Overpursuit can kill us with these speed guys. MJD and Johnson will tough to contain because both of them are great running and catching the ball, then you throw in a dual threat QB and you have nightmares for our LB corp. Just need to play smart and LB's need to stick to thier assignments with some watching the QB at all times.

well what scares me about both teams is thier QB can run when the play breaks down. this week i bet garrard has anout 4-5 runs for about 8 yards every time.

Yea i have been saying this as well..

If Ryan Fitzpatrick can run on us...I am sure Ben ROthlnwelfwdablenoabnBurger can as well as Garrard and Vince...

We def need to keep them contained..

Actually, I don't altogether disagree with this. I would love to see the team snare the last wildcard, but this years roster is fatally-flawed at receiver and at defending the deep pass.

Not to say I'm not hoping for the best, but this isn't a championship squad.

We weren't supposed to be. However, winning the division after an 0-3 start, injuries to key players, and the return of Tom Brady is something special IMO. Don't forget about all the young players we have on this team (Only 6 players over 30). We're building the team right and we will be a SB team in 2011. We just need to win out.
