the team has quit and I don't blame them. If I were a player with any talent I'd be pissed to be wasting a year of my career and health while tarnishing my value for future contracts due to poor performance to the extent I'd be reliant on my teammates being at least NFL quality players.

I wouldn't trade places with Cleveland right now, AFTER their rebuild. They tried to take a short cut with OBJ when they should've kept loading up draft picks with trade downs.
