If we bring in a big time play maker at WR, Ginn would become deadly because defenses would be forced to cover him 1 on 1. It would be RETARDED to draft or sign a new weapon at WR only to cut or trade the only one we have. It's common sense people.

The only reason we wouldn't get rid of him, is because nobody will give us anything for him. If you are saying we aren't cutting him I agree, but he still isn't a good WR.

There are other good football players (that can catch the football) in the dolphins' WR group that could be very good #2's. If the dolphins decide Ginn is not a #1 then if they can get something for him they should.

I thought you had to make more than 2 or 3 plays a season to be known as a playmaker.

ginns abilities would be enhanced if he had a big number 1 on the other side. I don't hate ginn, I just don't like his limited production. if that turned around he would be a welcome no 2 or 3. after 2 or 3 seasons of production people on this site would turn around and start supporting him.

You have to make Plays to be considered a Playmaker. One good catch every 6 games does not count as being a playmaker.

So yes, if they can upgrade him then hes gone, but chances are he will be around atleast this next season.

Honestly I thought the same, lets bring a true #1 reciever to really open up his game, then reality set in, there is nothing a #1 receiver will do to help Ginn grow some B*lls. Which happens to be his biggest problem.

I don't hate the player, i hate his game. His game sucks at this point but i'm not going to write him off completely yet. At some point they should ask him to restructure his contract to suit his production at WR and add in the fact he can be an effective KICK returner then i believe he could stay with us. Then if by some miracle he turns the corner in year four then maybe it bodes well for his future as a dolphin.
I really don't think anyone on this board would be surprised if he was released, much like Pasqualoni, the writing has been on the wall for a while. All we can do is hope either he or someone like Hartline grows by leaps and bounds in the offseason.

although i HATE ginny, i think adding a True #1 would help him out. Take off some of the pressure and allow him to run down field 1 on 1 which is his strong point. Now if we do manage to get a #1 and ginny still sucks, then i say drop him and look for another fast WR because this guy has been given WAY TOOOOOOO many chances.

I would definitely argue that other receivers on the team made more explosive plays than Ginn. Hartline had a couple. Bess broke a few runs after the catch.

Ginn is what he is. I'm not sure you cut him loose unless he becomes prohibitively expensive. I do tell him going into camp next year that he is #1 KR and PR. If I'm the coaching staff, I also let my defense get a little rough with the kid during camp. Maybe he's gun shy because he's never taken a bullet. Let him get popped and get back up. It might do wonders for his confidence.

Sorry bro, but unfortunately for you, it seems you have no common sense as per this idea.. How can a legit #1 help Ginn from dropping almost everything that is thrown his way? aaaaaaand, how can a legit #1 help Ginn from finding his balls and not head for the sideline everytime he is about to get tackled

With the addition of a true #1WR, Teddy would surely benefit, but more so, IMO Hartline is a perennial All-Pro waiting to happen.
