Michael Bennett would have made alot more sense as a backup for Ronnie, as a change of pace guy. Chris Brown does not provide this option. Additionally, we could have had Bennett for less. If Saban did not want to trade for Bennett, he does not want to trade for Brown.

And personally I dont blame him. Sammy Morris does more than Brown, and we dont have to give up a draft pick for him.

Miami's out of the trade business. They'll scan the waiver wire to see who gets cut at the position. Think less Chris Brown, and more Noah Herron, Antowain Smith, Anthony Thomas, Nick Goings, etc.

Exactly. Plus, I don't see Nick wasting a pick on a player who's in the last year of his deal.

I'm sure he'd like to have the full complement of picks next April for the first time in his NFL tenure.

Think any trade, unless it's an absolute steal, is highly unlikely at this point.

I myself would be pumped about getting Nick Goings.... the titans would be looken for a 1st day pick for Chris Brown would they not ?

Now that our front office has killed it lets merge all these Chris Brown threads and move them to spam.BTW Nick Goings is a great back-up IMO.

I would think so aswell but he is in his last year of his deal.So teams may not offer much. There is no way i would give up a 1st day pick for a guy in his last year of a contract.Plus we have Ronnie Brown.Maybe the Titans let him go for cheap or they resign him to a longer deal and then trade him but my guess is they would want a 1st day pick.I dont see Saban doing that.

Like I said the way our 1st round picks and our new front office seem to get along maybe we should start trading them.

While I agree very much that the price for Brown makes him not worth getting, I don't see the difference between M Bennett and Chris Brown. Watching them, they seem like the same style of running back. Extremely fast, and extremely injury prone. Not sure you've seen enough of Chris Brown.

I likes me some Nick Goings. Those are the kind of 2nd stringers you want. Maybe not the fastest or strongest. But capable and savvy guys that play with determination. I think I said it in another thread, St. Louis signing Moe Williams was a quality decision. I wish we would have.

You guys have all lost your minds. First of all Nick goings stinks. Secondly C.Brown would not cost a high draft pick since he is in the last year of his deal. And most importantly Chris Brown is a stud that would give us two nice young backs that would dominate. Chris Brown is a good downhill runner that could provide us some big pop getting 5-10 carries per game. I love the idea of getting him on our already talented offense.

Nick Goings should suck. He doesn't. Every year they bury him on the depth chart and he ends up reeling off 100 yard games. Check it out. I bet he has more 100 yard rushing games over the last two years than Stephen Davis, Deshaun Foster, or even Chris Brown.
