Considering that theres 8+ coaches being fired this year.. I think our timing was good last year.

I would hate to try and find a coach this year..

Wanny would be available, I'm sure Pitt will let him go gladly lol.

If we needed a coach this year I would push for Al Saunders but good point.

anytime. and i do mean ANYTIME. you get a coach, who takes your 4-12 team. implaments new systems across the board. changes the culture, mentality, the heart. hell all the way down to the soul of a team. makes them beleive and earns there loyalty, love and faith. you are considered ''lucky charms end of the rainbow lucky''.

who are the 8?

That # is not unusually high. We got Saban b/c he liked (and had been watching) our situation. I think we would have got him this year (or Ferentz, who I like as much as Saban).

Saban wanted to be the Dolphins coach. If our change happened this year I believe we still would have gotten him.

there will be more than 8...

Lions fired Mooch
Saints fired Haslett
Vikings fired Tice
Packers fired Sherman
Texans fired Capers
Rams fired Martz
Vermil retired from the Cheifs

Parcells might retire
Norv Turner might be fired from Oakland
Mike Mularky might be fired from Buffalo

its gunna be an interesting offseason...

I doubt it, he is giving Pitt one of their best recruiting classes in a LONG time. He might just be able to be successful in the long run down at old pitt.

yea if the number goes over 10... a number that high is not that usual.. I think maybe 4 to 6 is pretty typical but this year theres going to be a large vacancy. I think theres a good chance the bills coach will get the axe I also think the jags coach is looking at going to college level, factor in parcels as a possible retirement. were looking at 10 - 12 coaches. 30 percent of the league :\

I doubt Jack Del Rio goes anywhere. 10 coaches vacancies is a lot. That is just under 1/3 of the league. However, it evens out because last year there were only three, which is unusally low. As someone else said, a typical year ends up right around five of six.

Hopefully he is but he did a bad first year as a coach.

I think they'll keep Mularkey because they fired Donohoe.

Depends on who they bring in as GM. I think the owner did a nice thing by firing the GM and having him decide if he retains Mularkey or not...
