TS: No, it wasn’t tough. The guys handled it well. The good news is that it was a short week, not a long week. There wasn’t time to dwell. We have a bunch of pros in this locker room and they knew how to react. But like everything else in life you have to understand where the problems were and you have to know how to correct them. That’s what we did.


Tony, you understood we were attacked by TE's last year, yet this year you have not corrected it. And you have corrected all the issues from last week? Wow!

Just for the Record, NE's TEs will kill EVERYONE this year, their combination of TE's is unparalleled, they are both far above average athleticism wise for TE's. I think we'll be just fine when we play a normal team, fact is the Patriots will be too much for most teams to handle

I challenge anyone on this board to name a LB that can cover Hernandez for 6-7 seconds. Not gonna happen. Also if we cant apply pressure with the front 3 and the ends then we will be forced to blitz with the ILBs and then it really gets ugly. The fact is, we got no pressure against the best QB maybe ever, they ran our D into the ground with the no huddle and there TE's might be the best in the league. Lets not freak out over this game.

so why are we talking about linebackers exactly? when u cant cover hernandez with a linebacker??? how does bringing in a linebacker solve the problem exactly??? doesnt that SPECIFICALLY prove the point??? why didnt we bring in any DEFENSIVE BACKS???? thats the point. we didnt do anything to match personal
 
Impossible . How did Tony correct the problem, I have not read that he has quit as our coach

The chances of that ever happening again are very slim considering only a handful of QBs have ever thrown for 500 yards.
 
I definitely think the problems on defense are correctable, as it was more of a conditioning and scheme thing IMO. I'm more worried about the offense - Henne throwing another pick in the red zone, which almost happened again last Monday, and how we are going to get the goal line offense fixed.

I'll stop worrying when Tony Idiotano's gone and we have a competent HC running the team.
 
i think ireland is more to blame than tony
if tony goes ireland should not be far behind

i dont want to us to miss out on a great coach because ireland still has say..
