We can see the differences a good wide receiver makes.

We can see the difference Waddle makes on our offense. Imagine if we drafted more play makers alongside him. Parker, Fuller need to go. Let's get people that want to play.
Imagine if we drafted Slater and what he would of meant to our o-line at LT…. An o-line that is bottom 3 in the league. It is a lot harder for a team to find a generational LT than it is a top WR… Oh and we would also have that 1st round pick we gave to the Eagles too!!! Nice job Grier!!

I really don't think it's a matter of wanting or not wanting to play with Parker or Fuller. Both players have preformed too well when healthy to have issues in the desire category. That being said it might be best for all parties involved to seek a different situation in 2022.

We don’t need a generational LT. We had Jake Long and we had Laremy Tunsil, and they didn’t equate to many wins. Unless you count Long’s rookie season, which was much more a product of the wildcat than it was anything else.

Kansas City just recently won a super bowl with an average-at-best OL. Having a great LT would be nice, but for what? So we only have 4 question marks on the OL instead of 5? So Tua could have, on average, 0.75 seconds more to find an open….. Isaiah Ford?

Miami must get it's premium Tackle in FA, and it can no longer be a Linemen on the end of his career, Miami has the money...Use it to fix the line already.

In the Draft Miami needs 4 things to become special, another Big receiver that can catch everything, a powerback, and either a Quality Middle LB or Pass-Rusher.

I was not in favor early of taking another receiver early in 2022, but now I absolutely need Miami to take a premium big receiver in the 1st.

Kansas City got smoked and Mahomes was running for his life in last years Super Bowl without their 2 starting tackles and KC KC lost that super bowl.

Your biggest investment $$$ in a team is usually a QB followed by LT or maybe DE or CB but LT is definable up there. Slater is like top 6 at his position as a rookie. Waddle is very good at his position but I don’t see generational.

Additionally, it seems like we are finally drafting better draft talent compared to years past and with securing waddle last year, we gave up a valuable draft asset for next year. I didn’t like the waddle pick for that reason coupled with our LT need.

You can say hindsight is 20/20 but I was on record drafting Slater.

As stated in another thread our first priority should be an offensive line coach. I have to believe these young high draft picks are more talented than what they have shown. We have money and draft picks to fill our needs:

1. Put Eichenberg at RT.
2. Buy the best 1-3 LT on the market.
3. Draft WR, middle LB, RB, center
4. Davis is the last lineman off the bench. Keep Austin Jackson at LG.
5. Re-sign Gesicki, Ogbah and perhaps Symthe. Release Shaheen and Carter.
6. Release Fuller, Wilson and Preston and probably Parker.
7. Pickup 2 WR that want to play in free agency.
8. Hunter Long is the 3rd TE.

Slater wouldn’t have made up for the fact the Dolphins have a terrible OL. I would draft Waddle over Slater any day of the week. I don’t care that they traded with the Eagles because that assured they would be able to draft Waddle and he was the player I wanted them to draft if they had not traded with the 49er’s and they had remained at 3 in the draft.

Yet by making the trade with the 49er’s that still allowed them to draft Waddle and they still ended up with an extra 3rd round pick in 2022 and the 49er’s first round pick in 2023. I think both trades were great for the Dolphins.

Agree, but it doesn't have to be in the draft

Waddle gets separation and plays through injuries. Its a shame the other receivers (fuller, parker, & preston) have produced so little.

Tua is making it work with Waddle and 4 WRs that are a ST’r, a PS alum, a slot that has barely played in 2 years, and a TE masquerading as a WR.

Tua deserves props for elevating that group!

1-3 LTs? Come on!

Wonder how Lindsey would do lined up as a receiver?
