Been fooling around with the ESPN playoff machine (http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine) and just realized that after yesterday's various results, we now officially control our own destiny.

If we finish 2-0 there is no scenario in which we don't make the playoffs.

If Ravens win out it says they jump to 4th seed , we get 6th

If Bengals win out, Bengals jump to 2nd seed, we get 6th

If Bengals win in week 16 (against Vikings), Ravens beat Bengals in Week 17 we are F'd

If Ravens lose tonight, we are in control...

long story short: Go Lions
 
It's due to Cincinnati's loss last night. If Baltimore wins out, they take the division over Cincinnati. Otherwise, they fail to get in. Either way, a 10-6 Miami gets the wild card.

we r not ****ed in anyway as long as we win out.

let the ravens win out, it does not matter as long as we take care of our own business and win the next 2 games.

raven game, while a loss deff does not hurt us tonight, has become a lot less important. all u can ask for in the final 2 games in to control your own destiny, and that is what the situation is now.

if we miss playoffs, only ourselves to blame.

ravens play bengals week 17.

if we win out, we are 10-6.

say ravens win tonight and next week, they r 9-6 going into week 17, and say cincy wins next week as well, they are 10-5 going into week 17.

say ravens win week 17. they finish 10-6 and so does cincy, but balt won 2-0 vs cincy in season series, gets division, cincy slides into wildcard, we beat cincy head to head, we win.
 
I want Balt to lose tonight and Beat pats next week, I want the division, screw the wild card....right now who is playing better than us in the AFC?......No BODY
 
However it plays out I would love for us to go into Indy for that wildcard game. Playing in a dome we won in vs a team that's a bit depleted will be a nice place for us to be in.

Yesterdays game was one of the greatest games I've seen us win. It started off with a disastrous grassy knoll muffed snap, to tie the game up. Then on that 4th down play, Michael Thomas strips Danny Amendola, and later picks off a Brady pass. Thomas was in perfect position, and if he wasn't there, it probably would have been a TD.

This game was filled with so much emotion , with ups and downs and lows, I am glad we won.

For those who actually went, you got every dollars worth, even up till the last second.

Correct. Despite Baltimore moving into the sixth spot if they win tonight, there is no scenario where the Dolphins win out and miss the play-offs.

However, should Baltimore lose tonight, and lose next week to New England, and the Dolphins win at Buffalo, then the Dolphins would clinch a play-off spot with a week to spare and the Jets game becomes meaningless for play-off position.

If you had told me immediately after the Tampa game that the above sentence would even be possible I would have laughed.

Hearing that news should get the team pumped and avoid the letdown game in buffalo after the huge win yesterday!
