I read an article last week. and i am sorry but i don't remember which site it was on I read so many. Anyhows General Manger Ron Wolf of the Packers at the time said that the dolphins were just 30 seconds away from getting Hassleback, from them. And that the coach of the Seahawks had called just 30 seconds earlier then Dave Wanny, and if Wanny had made that call 30 seconds earlier then Hassleback would be a Dolphin today instead of a Seahawk. Another great move by Wanny..... Hassleback would of been great for the Dolphins.

It's true. Wanny had him and let him slip away. We could have went after Jake Delhomme too, but showed no interest at all. Dumb.

What a bad move by wanny:shakeno:

Ok guy, why do you have to turture yourselfs and everyone here by reminding us of every bad move that Wanny made....everyone here knew this already....everytime I start to forget about Wanny one of you remind me of him.

Ozzy rules!!

It wouldn't have mattered. Wanny would have dumped him when he struggled the first couple years.

yeh, Wanny was pretty bad. But he was only 30 seconds late on this one, at least he was going to call. He was just late, not wrong, on Hasselbeck.

He would have had him backing up Fiedler.

What was it Wanny said about Trent Green of the Chiefs? Or was it said about Hasselback? Anyway Wanny said, "What could that QB do that Fiedler couldn't do?" Now that was a classic Wannyizim!

A lot of teams couldve had Hasselbeck. He was a 6th round pick.

Had Wanny drafted him he wouldve never amounted to anything. Hes Holmgrens guy- and he even traded a 1st rounder (I think) to get him to Seattle.

The Hasselbeck trade was:

Seattle recieved-
Matt Hasselbeck
Packers’ 2001 first-round draft choice (17th overall...turned into Steve Hutchinson)

Packers recieved-
Seattle’s 2001 first-round draft choice (10th overall...turned into Jamal Reynolds)
Seattle's 2001 third-round draft choice (72nd overall...turned into Torrance Marshall)

The rumour of Hasselbeck going to Miami was pretty hot at that time but Wanny balked at trading our first round pick away (26th overall).

Who did we get with that pick?

You guessed it....Jamar Fletcher.

I'm glad we didn't get jake delhomme, he is overrrated. By the way the only reason he made the probowl is because there are no quaterbacks in the NFC besides Hasselbeck. All the real Qb's are int the AFC. :fire:
