We Couldnt Lose Today On Purpose

Ya the Jets weren't going to let us lose that game. The Jets have to stay ahead of the Jaguars for the #1 pick so they can draft Trevor Lawrence even if it means them going 0-16.
 
It’s pretty clear why they haven’t fired Gase. His job is to guarantee the 0-16 (maybe 1-15) record before he is out the door, lol. Lawrence stays in college if the Jets pick 1st and there isn’t a firesale in their FO and coaching staff. Just my opinion of course.
 
If they want a shot at Lawrence, Gase is the best option to do so. 100% he's out the door and Douglas as well. They will clean house. I agree with PeopleShow13. These Jets are sincerely awful and I'm not sorry, not even a little bit.....

I hear ya, but I wouldn’t be so sure about firing Douglas. Woody Johnson the owner is pretty dumb

No argument over that..... It really comes down to did Gase hand pick his GM or did Woody Allen actually hire Douglas with no input? If Woody put his stamp on Douglas, he stays otherwise his ass is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
 
It’s going to be funny if Trevor either stays in school or forces a trade.

Douglas probably isn't going anywhere. He didn't build that mess. He was brought in to clean it up. That's why he has started to stockpile draft picks.
 
Gase is certainly done— as is his head coaching career (remember the guys on here who said Gase was going to be great in NY because he had a QB, lol) — but the Jets are wise to keep him right where he is. Losing is their business right now, and business is good.

There’s also no way Douglas is gone. Why fire that guy now (and keep paying him) when it was his predecessors who created this mess, and the owners.
 
Right now the Jet's need to lose. If losing is what you want then Gase is your perfect choice for HC.
 
I must admit, I really thought the Jets would sneak one out somewhere. Losing every game is hard. Maybe they face Jarret Stidham week 17 if NE is out of it, best chance!!
