Yes, I am utterly disgusted that we lost, but we really needed this loss.
I've mentioned in other threads that Houston is probably the third toughest game on our schedule. (Behind SD and Denver.) I'm glad we hung in there as long as we did.
Yes, there were some nice positives, like the turnovers and the long TD plays.
But we were not the same team that beat SD and NE. You could tell right off the bat.
Our D had flashes, they had some great plays, followed by some utter crap. Our secondary looked like crap all day.
Can anyone tell me why Daniels and Johnson were so damn wide open all day long?
Even our line got caught guessing, giving up some pretty big run plays.
You can't blame it all on the D though, they were out there a long time. The offense couldnt get first downs. We couldnt move the ball on the ground, and we couldnt give penny time to throw.
Imagine what the score would have looked like without the turnovers? We lost and we should have lost by a whole lot more.
Houston looked ALOT more hungry than we did.
No, the season isnt over, the world isnt coming to an end. Today showed us all (fans, players, front office) that we still have work to do.
Our D needs to stop 3rd down conversions. Our O needs to complete them.
We need ALOT of work in the secondary, and we need alot of work at WR and on the Oline.
We need alot of work on special teams as well.
We have a couple of home games coming up, lets hope we can get some of this **** fixed.
But make no mistake about it, Houston was the better team out there today.
