In the 4 going on 5 years since we traded for Ricky, we have yet to actually make the playoffs. In EACH of the 4 years prior to trading for Ricky, we DID make the playoffs. We don't need him. The sooner his drama-creating butt is off the team permanently, the better.
 
its still nice to have a guy of his potential to split time with ronnie

Nice logic. Let me try. In the 10 or so years before Marino we won Super Bowls, but since he joined the club we never did. So hence, we didn't need Marino. Did I do that correctly?
 
you konw that the real reason we havent won since we got ricky is because of wanny. Ricky is a great player and it will hurt us some but thank god we got ronnie last year or we would be screwed even with culpepper.
 
Lets be honest though, we WERE a better team with Ricky then we are without him. He is still a beast and would have thrived anywhere he went. We lost him, lets deal with it and move on but lets NOT deny what he added to our team!! Do you think Nick and the rest of the fins would have been so positive about him if he was expendable? JESUS!!! He was/is an EXCELLENT running back and ANY team would have benefited from him being on their roster. So yea we can stop all of the Ricky threads and all of the RB threads but no matter what ANYONE says, we were a better team tallent wise then we are with out him!!

Agreed, anyone who says we don't need him has no concept of what a player of Rick's caliber can do for their team. Bottom line is we were better with him than without him, & if you argue with that you have'nt been watching. Let's get real, yeah it sucks he was an A-Hole to us twice & i hate it just as bad as anyone but you cannot honestly say we don't need him. the guy was a stud on the field, end of story. :fh:
 
no we didnt make the playoffs cause of him he did more than his fair share when he was here and was our star player. today sucked and was embarising too but saying we dont need him when about 99% of us last week had his bacxk with saban supporting him we all wanted him back. dont spin it when u dont get what u want and say it doesnt matter. today sucked and doing that just makes it look worse. we just gotta take the hit in the mouth and keep movin.
 
I wanted him back just like everyone else, but we don't need him. Having 2 star RB is a luxury. Most teams would do backflips just to have one guy who could carry the ball 25-30 times a game. Yes we were a better team with him but our season isn't over because now we only have one star RB. And the idea of going out and wasting money (or worse, draft pick) on a replacement is silly. Why waste salary cap room on a backup? I don't get it.

True dat' if he won that appeal everybody would be pissing themselves with excitement.
