This will be our complaint come game 4. How quickly we forget how awful it is to not have one.

Let me edit this to say im not a Wallace lover. Im just hoping we have a better plan to replace him than Cameron out wide with Stills.

It's still the first week of free agency be patient.

In our spread system that is irrelevant, because technically our #3 lead the team in receiving last year

You mean we don't have a WR being paid like a number 1 receiver. Even when Wallace was here and in Lazor's scheme he wasn't the number 1, we didn't have a number 1, yes we tried to force some balls to Wallace to keep him happy on sidelines(see how well that worked), but this scheme is spreading the ball out. Wallace was and always will be what he is called from day 1, a one trick pony that is great at taking the top off a defense, not a number 1 go to WR when the game is on the line.

Smh, people here planning ahead of time about what to complain About.

Now that's sad....

I believe Wallace was a #1, but agree he didn't fit with Tannehills inability to throw deep. Marshall was without question a #1. How many of these guys are we going to let walk because our coach can't controll them? Who is really at fault here? If you can't het along with alpha men, maybe the problem is you. J/s

To be fair, we didn't really have one last year, either.

Who were the 'number 1 receivers' in this past years Super Bowl?

Doug Baldwin and Julian Eldeman.

It's not essential to have this alpha dog receiver. There's diffrent ways to skin a cat. How many playoff wins does Calvin Johnson have?

OmGz!!!! What will we ever do without a number one receiver in our game next week!??!

Oh wait.....

Its not that teams don't need one. Tom Brady doesn't need one. Edit for we don't have a lynch either. Was anticipating the question and didn't read well enough. I hope you guys are right, but I'm worried.

Go back and look at when Wallace was with the Steelers, majority of the it wasn't deep routes that were timed(when they were, he had rough time running route and getting distance from coverage), he was born from Big Ben being able to scramble, shake, jive all over the field and make tacklers look silly. That enabled Wallace to run around like a kid that just snorted pixie sticks. What did we have with him here?... We had Ryan get hit in 3 seconds with the o-line we gave him, so Wallace had to run a route instead of relying on crazy moves and plays that took 10 seconds to develop. Can Ryan work on the deepball? Yes, and he is working, could Wallace have worked on routes and timing? Yes, but he didn't. There is no arguing that Wallace has the skills to be a number 1 in this league, but he doesn't put in the time with his teammates,
