The Chiefs(retired), Vikings, and Texans have already fired their head coaches, GB could be next. It's a good thing we got Saban when we did. I heard that Saban wanted to come to Florida, so we might have landed him anyway, bit who wants to take that chance.

Other teams that should fire their head coach

Atlanta
Buffalo
San Fransisco
Oakland (sorry Turner)
Detroit

I think Mike Nolan in San Fran was dealt a bad hand from the get go. I think he will be given another year or two to see if he can turn it around. I think they were cap stricken when he took the job.

San Francisco?

Jim Mora should be given another chance in ATL, one bad year were u still finish .500. They made the playoffs last year.

Thats what i hate about sports, you have 1 bad year and your gone and they forget everythign you have done in the past years.

actually saban was approached by numerous teams before coming to the dolphins. it's been said that he always wanted this team before any others. the tradition is something he constantly talks about.

each coach is entitled to at least "3" yrs before firing. you can't expect a first year coach to be all that great. then you have someone like wannstedt who started off half way decent then went downhill at a steady pace!! :sidelol:

I put SF on this list because they made no visible signs of improvement.

Wanny really only had 1 bad year.

I wouldn't be surprised if there ended up being double digit coaching vacancies this year. I am extremely happy we got Saban when we did!!!! I can hardly wait until the 2006 season. I've looked at the schedule, it is a lot like this year. We have 6 playoff teams (counting New England twice), including Indy and Pittsburgh. I think we will do well despite a tough schedule. Go Dolphins!!!!!!!!

I think it's going to take some time, he got a mess when he took over. I think things will get better for them in this years draft.

What's up Cali, At least they took Smith, opening up the door for us to take Ronnie.

I don't think Saban would have taken any of the jobs ava. now. He was given many chances before Miami came calling and turned every team down. I think Saban wanted Miami and there is probably only a couple of teams he would have coached. Going to a team with a rich history and an owner willing to turn the whole team over without interference would be tough to find. Thats what makes this match for Saban so appealing. In reality Sabans the one who was lucky to get the fins job, WH is a great owner and is smart enough to understand, leave Saban alone and let him do what he does best.

Atlanta and San Fran should not fire there coaches! I think Mularkey should be fired only because I heard there is a lot of turmoil over in Buffalo don't know for sure!
