Watching the game last night, particularly seeing the command that Rodgers and Brees have over their offenses really brought home for me how far the 'phins have to go to get to that level. Both of those teams are so damned loaded with talent; it was pretty impressive.

Just an observation that I know we are all aware of.

And some people still think drafting a cornfed lineman over a franchise QB in the first round is acceptable

saints d looked like crap

Yea no way in hell Henne can make those throws. Those two qbs are on another level.

True man, thats the difference between a game manager Qb and an elite QB in this case those guys are elite; they seemed like they were in complete control and ownship of their respectives offenses. Henne has years to get to that level and he "might" never even be close!!

ps. notice I said "might" lol

Got to love the Dolphins, we just watched a game of two super franchise QB's that we passed on before, one of them we passed on twice.

Yeah, Miami has a long way to go until they can compete with, let alone beat a team like the Packers..............oh wait, they beat them last year.

The Fins did beat Green Bay last year in Green Bay.

Yes, the Packers are better, but the point is the Fins have to find THEIR way of trying to win games.

The place the Fins must improve is to gather TURNOVERS by the boatload. Then make plays with those turnovers. That is the next step they must take.

Thats right, miami can and will compete with anyone, Miami has a ton of talent, we just had an offensive coordinator who had cuffs on our leader chad henne. The cuffs are off now, i cant wait to see this new "Dolphins" team play. Miami beat the packers last year, we also were beating the hell out of new orleans 2 years ago before our defense decided to stop playing for some odd reason. If not for dan henning, the league would have seen what this dolphins team can do.

I was saying the same thing watching last night. Henne will NEVER be on that level of QB. Footwork not good enough, no accuracy, and no poise in the pocket. Henne would've been sacked many more times last night had he been in there. The accuracy and footwork are bad enough, but to top it off his touch isn't close to half as good as Brees or Aaron.

To summarize, Henne ****ing blows compared to those 2 QB's. Maybe one day we'll find someone good enough to brag about.

We haven't even played ONE snap yet and already people are comparing us to two "world class" defensive teams! Jeez! :chuckle:

id rather have a world class offence and win the game in the 3rd quarter so i dont have to sit there and chew my nails til they bleed at the end of the 4th...

Any team can beat any team on Sunday. We had no business beating Green Bay in Green Bay last season but it happened.

To win big you have to be consistent. And that's something we haven't been in YEARS.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees are big time, major league NFL quarterbacks. The reads they made at the line pre-snap, the adjustments they made afterwards, the throws they made....Chad Henne doesn't do these things.

The bomb from Brees to Meachem for six was a classic example to smart, superstar QB's. Collins plays up leaving on on one for Meachem on Williams, Brees quickly identifies it, makes the adjustment, and delivers a nice pass to Meachem for six.

My first, and then second thoughts watching the game last night were "**** you Saban, rot in hell!!!"

But beyond that, yes we have a long way to go, but using Sanchez as the current realistic model, it's still possible to arrive there, or at least near there riding the back of QB with limitations!

I was all about some Aaron Rodgers when he was coming out. Floored me that some people actually thought Alex Smith was a better prospect coming from a bogus system. And THEN after the 49ers drafted him, reports everywhere was that his hands weren't big enough for the NFL. I mean I know projecting college kids—especially a QB—at the next level is very difficult but Goddamn. I've hit more college QB prospects for what they are than some of these GM's.
