We have clarity!

which is sad cuz Waddle is good imo too. But Tua can't play well or find ways to do well with waddle if hill is out. Top qbs can still ball out when top wr is out if other good one is playing. The 4 games Chase was out last year, Burrow still won and balled out and Higgins got 100 plus yards in the games
Did Burrow have 4 backup OL in front of him on those games? Did he have Higgins running the wrong routes? If he did, then fair play to him.

Maybe because we have two top end receivers in Tyreek and Waddle and the defense can game plan to take them away. That to me was amazing. Why does McD constantly have Hill go in motion to the sideline giving the defense help in that they just roll the coverage to a drop zone knowing Tua can’t get the ball there on a line so the defense uses the boundary and distance of the throw against us. Maybe have Tyreek in motion towards the formation so he can either go deep or run crossing patterns where the db can’t keep up with him. Hopkins did it all night against us and we had no answer. Tua’s arm strength and lack of being able to run is becoming known in the NFL and being used against us effectively. Agree the oline being down hurts, but when you take a plodding bumble head in the 2nd round in Eich and move up to do so what do you expect. This front office has proven they have no clue how to evaluate olinemen In the draft. Could have had Creed who is in KC and locked down the center position for a decade and passed. 🙄

Not comparing him to Mahomes. Just pointing out how important the offense line play is. Miami had four backups.
Please stop trying to justify that pitiful performance last night. Tua has been playing horrible for weeks now, something is off with him.Maybe he out playing Golf instead of Being a Franchise QB, And not putting in the 150% effort true Elite QB’s do???

You would think since you have been watching the game for so long that you would pick up things like having 4 backup OL playing most of the game would impact your offence but hey, here we are.

When a defence can rush 4 and drop 7 into coverage and the 4 are getting to the QB in under 2 seconds there are zero, absolutely zero QB's in the league that can win under those circumstances. Open your eyes. Kendall Lamm and Lester Cotton were getting beat like drums, Liam is high snapping, false starting, holding and getting blown up and AJ returned to the 2021 AJ were he even managed to whiff on a push to the chest on one play as the DE just ducked underneath it and hit Tua in under 2 seconds. It was a shitshow all round in front of the QB. The reason McDaniel was calling bubble screens was because that was the only pass plays he could guarantee that the QB wasn't going to get hit or hurried on.

Tua wasn't great but he also wasn't the issue. It gets so tiresome people blaming the QB every time something goes wrong without looking into the full context. Tua is the only QB in the league that is held to these ridiculous standards that he can't have an off game without him needing to be replaced by someone, anyone just so people can shout "Look, I told you he was no good".
these are all fair points but Tua did not rise above the adversity and even if we put this game aside, to me his game has regressed. A lot of it might be playcalling because this offense doesn’t seem to develop much of a rythym lately. It’s chunk plays to Tyreek and if we are smart enough some decent run yardage mixed in. But I don’t see any rythym in the passing game even when the O line was in better shape. We are very one dimensional. Now that the O line is in complete tatters you cannot feel good about our remaining games.

I cringe when Wadlle catches a ball because half of the time they have to peel his ass off of the turf for some reason or another!

Fangio called the worst 4 minutes of his NFL career. no pressure, same prevent hybrid defense for every down. he made Levis look like drew brees. pathetic!!!!! McDaniel and Fangio called horrible vanilla plays, they were so sure we would win that they just forgot how to call a game. frustrating and pathetic.
100%

There just haters that have been sitting idlely by waiting for a game to come out and bitch and moan.

He cannot lead us without Tyreek on the field! He is good when everything is close to perfect. Do not make the mistake of committing huge money and killing our cap for years ro come. That was a game that Tua had to win and he didn't. Spare me the we were up crap he was handed turnovers deep in the Titans end so he didn't have to do much. This was a pathetic loss but hopefully it provides clarity on what we cannot do next year when it comes to paying Tua 45 or 50 million dollars!
He’s getting paid no matter what

You haven’t the first clue and are no different than the media. One-dimensional thinking.

While not having Tyreek doesn’t help, it’s the chaos on the o-line that’s the biggest issue. When any offense/QB is missing 4 of 5 starters on the o-line and the center goes out early in the game and is replaced by a middling player most here at FH thinks the Dolphins need to dump ASAP — what do you really expect?

Did you see the great Patrick Mahomes in the SB against Tampa a few years ago when the Chiefs o-line was in chaos? It didn’t look very good.

How about more recently when Brock Purdy lost Trent Williams, let alone 4 of 5 starters? It also didn’t look very good.

That‘s what can happen to any offense under the same conditions. Losing Tyreek also just added to the problems.

Did you even watch the game? Tua didn’t have steady protection when he dropped back and could feel it resulting in happy feet and indecision.

Please, by all means name the QB that leads and excels minus 4 of 5 starting lineman.

This is a ridiculously ignorant and naive post. Was Tua good? No. Did he make mistakes and poor decisions? Yes. But it wasn’t just because he didn’t have Tyreek on the field.

Don’t be stupid.
You could actually tell last night the impact of O-line had on Tua's comfort in the pocket. I was also amazed at how he and Waddle were on such different pages last night.......some miscues I haven't seen before.

Tua wasn't good last night....but some of the takes in this thread are way over the top

Fangio coaches for the players he wishes he has, not the ones he has.

I just feel Tua would be like this even with the starting lineman, some reason in have to win games, he's like this. And it won't get better because now connor williams is out and who knows with hill. And miami playing a tough jets defense. Sometimes need a qb that can playoff script. Tua was just running into sacks at the end or should have thrown ball away or try to make a play. He choked this game

He’s getting paid no matter what
Miami won't have a team that's a playoff team if miami pays tua top $. Tua can't overcome less around him. Who knows if he's a super bowl caliber qb too.

Tua has a good enough arm. It's no different than how Brees arm was and that didn't stop brees from being great. Tua unfortunately needs things to be on time and great and that's a problem with a good defense or well coach team tua plays again. I liked Tua, but he's not an overcomer and I feel unfortunately miami can be good with him but idk if will ever be a super bowl contender with Tua as his limitations can cause good teams or good defenses shut Tua and miami's offense down

That’s why this is our best shot. Also, Tua is the best qb we’ve had in 20 years and deserves to be paid. No way we get rid of him.
