I was shocked yesterday, like most... I just watched this kid's news conference and he put me at ease. He was poised and not flustered one bit. Knowing all the disappointment, he stood up there and did nothing but impress me. I have seen his highlights and am excited about the season.:D

watch for 1 thign in the videos, he throws as ACCURATE and in that 2 by 2 foot window just like manning. tahts why they said, "you can't teach accuracy"

Please this injury prone qb wont ever amount to anything. This is draft contained the Dolphins alltime biggest draft blunder in their history.

do u guys think he will sit the whole 2007 season

No, he will play this year, he will be prepared and he will throw a few interceptions like all Rookies do. He does move around the pocket very well for a little guy....:)

Ive watched both press conferences of Beck and Quinn... and Im very impressed with the way Beck held himself, his stature behind the podium, his ability to converse and articulate himself, and his calm and composed confidence. i say this is a guy that can develop into a solid football player, and a leader.

I like it.

I think if we don't sign Green (if he's cut), then we'll definitely see Beck a few games into the season. Just my opinion, but this guy is very football smart and smart in general. I think he can come in, get the playbook and learn it quick.

I would love to see him start right away. Get Green for a veteran backup and mentor, keep Lemon and let CP go.

I was also "Shocked" with the Ginn pick, but in retrospect, and after selecting John Beck, it is making sense. But here it is in a nutshell: Beck was the guy Cam wanted all along and I trust Cam to evaluate QB's better than us fans can.

Let's review what Cam has done so far:

Freed up a ton of salary cap space.
Jettisoned a bunch of sorry offensive players.
Upgraded the defense (Porter and Worrell).
Brought us 3 additional draft picks with his trades.
Drafted one of the fastest players in the draft class in Ginn, and added a lot of speed to the RB position in Booker.
Nabbed the QB that he was looking for all along.
Picked up arguably the best C in the draft.

OK, that isn't how I would have started the draft (Ginn), but Cam has a plan and is called by many in the football world "an offensive genius". I'm going to wait until after one season and see how many points his offense scores and how many game the Phins win before I make any judgements about his offseason moves and this draft. Until then, I am going to trust Cam to keep making the right choices that he feels will get this offense on track. After all, the offense can't get much worse than last year. Retooling the entire offense has to be good.

So far, I like what I see.

Thanks Cam, GO PHINS~!

I was bummed when we passed on Quinn. However, as I shot hoops, I got to thinking that they must have felt there was a significant drop-off in the class of WR's to take Ginn vs. Quinn. Obviously, in Mueller and Cameron's minds the difference between the QB's wasn't as great which is why they passed on Quinn knowing that they would get one of their QB's in the second just because someone would have to take Quinn, leaving that extra QB for the taking in the 2nd. Who knows if they got their guy or not - but they obviously felt that they would get a guy they were happy with and could develop. I guess my only problem with Beck right now is his age. If he does become the long term starter for this team then we lose 4-5 years of service time because he is so old. I like many will have to see what happens this year before we know whether or not what type of draft this has been. You've got to give the guys some credit though, it takes some "cajones" to do what they did.
