If we have a top 3 pick they have to attempt to go after him. Ill be fine giving up 2 #1 picks for him. Our weakest position above and beyond everything else is the QB. Palmer was a great Qb at USC under Pete Carrol so is Lienart. Im tired of being mediocre Its time to gamble for a QB.

Do you realize that Palmer wouldn't still be a Dolphin if we drafted him because of his bad seasons?

Or we can just draft Cutler

no offense but you must be crazy to give up 2 #1s for matt leinhart, considering that only 25% of all qb's drafted in the 1st round have realy made it. that is a HUGE gamble i would NOT be willing to make. miami will draft a qb in 2006 but not in the 1st round except if somebody fall into there lap. i say cb in 1st,qb in 2nd.

We ARE making a move to get Leinart. We are losing ALOT of games!

Do you think Eli Manning was better the Lienart in college. The Giants gamble and trade 2 1st Rd pick and where are they now. #1 in the NFC East in his 2nd year. I tired of having a revolving door at QB we need a franchise player.

and lets say if Cutler is gone by then? or how about pinegar as well? who is UR qb then? Kitna? HA! give me a break n' stop being a conservative scared ****y. Look at Cinny, Pitts, SD, Indy, Vikes, Philly, how many more that picked up a qb and were successful? u can' tbe afraid if ur in this business my friend. bus. is about taking risks, hence this is what we need to do.

Gamble? That's more than gambling, that's cutting off your nose to spite your face! 2 #1's for an unproven college QB that has done nothing in the NFL is a joke. I agree we have to do something to get a QB but if we follow your scenario and it turns out to be a bust it sets this team back MINIMUM 5 years!:shakeno: I say go after Carr or Harrington before dropping to #1 picks on a rookie QB with questionable arm strength.

just like our great first rd that we have had like fletcher , Yatil Green , John Avery. All bust. You want some 2nd rd bust to. All these guys where proven. Give me a break with this unproven bullsh!t

I don't think two number 1's for a possible franchise Qb is really that much. Every player in college is unproven, what's your point? David Carr and Joey Harrington have proven that they're not very good players. Bringing in retreads would be a terrible idea, it hasn't worked since Marino has retired, so let's just keep doing it? Every pick is a gamble, but because Qb's are more scrutinized nobody really notices the other busts. I would rather have Saban gamble and try to be great, than be conservative and hope to be above average.

Hey I'm not saying I have the answer to the problem I'm just saying its a huge gamble. And Carr and Harrington have not proven they are bad players they have proven they are on sh*t teams. Which given the circumstances so is Miami right now I guess! At this point I honestly don't know what to do I'm so frustrated and in shock from this loss!:goof:

HAHA! :rofl3: unproven!?! Questionable arm strength? Compared to what? Come on man! Carr, ok maybe, but Harrington!?! Ugh! He can't beat out Jeff Garcia! I agree with some people here, I HATE giving up picks, but Leinart is special. I'd give up this year's first rounder and next for him. You could also package Ricky in there to a team who could use him.

harrington and carr both stink.

fellow fans they both are bad. why the hell would you want them down here?

the giants gave up a first, thrid and fifth for Eli and i think that worked OUT VERY WELL FOR THEM?

i would be for giving up a future first round pick to move up and get our franchise qb that would be here for 10 years!
