We speculate. and we complain. And we argue our points.

But in the end, we dont know anything.

Last offseason: No one wanted Ricky. You're pride was too much to bring him back. How did that turn out? Ricky runs for 170 yards in a game and he's our hero again.

Draft time: Number 2 overall! Let's get Caddilac...no, Rodgers. He'd be good. We need a QB. Lets trade up for Alex Smith! He's going to be great! No no no, Braylon Edwards. He's the key. How about Ronnie Brown? Nah, he hasn't had enough playing time behind Caddy. How about Benson?

Throughout the season: Frerotte was good. Then sage was good. Then neither was good. Then Frerotte was great. Sage was horrible. Wait, Sage is great! Let's try Lemon, he has a funny name. Truth be told, the only person who knew what they were doing was Saban. Thank god.

And thats my point. We all know nothing about matters of football. We THINK we know it all, but we let things like pride and hatred or favoritism towards players we've liked all along get in our way.

And truth be told, Saban will probably bring in T.O. And everyone will hate it and there will be much unneeded drama going on. But it wont be coming from T.O.'s mouth.

It will be coming from all of yours.

And in the end, when we make it to the playoffs and have an amazing recieving corps, you'll be singing tunes of T.O. and Ricky and whoever helped us get that far. Because we all know nothing about anything.

thats why we are here, to speculate, argue and complain. thats what a forum is all about. do you think we are here just to sit and wait until we hear something official and then talk just about that?

you should probably speak for yourself.

1. I always wanted Ricky back, and I wasn't alone. There is no sense at all in throwing away something you could possibly turn into any value at all.

2. I had no strong opinions about using our #2. I had hoped, just like Saban, that someone would offer us a great trade down, but it didn't happen and I didn't whine about choosing Ronnie.

3. Ferotte was never good and will never be good. Never thought he was the answer and this season just proved that. But I think most of us knew that we didn't really have a lot of good options this year. Next year will be different.

The moral of the story is that you should never speak in absolutes, because clearly when you say "all" or "everybody" you're wrong, since I don't think everybody here agrees on anything. Heck, we can't even all agree that Dan Marino was great.

Of course 99.99% of us dont actually know (I leave the .01% just in case ol FinHeaven actually has a front office guy lurking on the site, hehehhe).

These threads are Fantasy FB or Madden-esque by nature. We are monday morning QB's and wannabe GM's or HC's, etc. Thats the fun in it.....and also the frustration in it. Its a Fan site.

Just pick and choose which threads are even worth your time to respond. You can add to the zanyness or try to be the voice of reason....either way you will post what you want, when you want.....and spend the rest of the time just reading and laughing in silence.

This will be a fun offseason regardless of the content of the threads....enjoy what you choose to enjoy.

This post sucks! I mean it is pretty good...I think we should or should not have taken Ricky back, actually Gus rules when he isn't...ahhh nevermind, I don't know what I'm saying!

Wrongtacular... I was at least one very vocal supporter of Ricky, from his decision to leave to his decision to come back... Perhaps you think you know everything about what WE all think, but, well, you don't...

Wrong once, shame on you... Wrong twice... shame on you again... While I was in favor of trading down 5-10, I was in full agreement that Ronnie Brown was the best player at 2 .... I do believe a whole legion of people on here were as well....

I'm one of a vast many many MANY people who never waivered on the quarterback situation... All NOT good... Never believed in Frerrotte, still don't... Sage is a career backup... So, whatever...

There are plenty of informed football enthusiasts on this forum... Many who know a lot more than you, or more than you apparently give credit for... Terrell may very well be humbled enough at this point to keep his mouth shut for a year, and if so, terrific... Long term? No thanks.... Saban may bring him in, but as soon as T.O. starts with his mouth detrimental to the team, his contract should say bye-bye....

Please don't speak for us all...

Who is we?

I wanted Ricky back and I wanted Ronnie at #2.

I'm also not going to hate it if TO comes to the team. I'd welcome him and hope he realizes he has one more chance with a team and doesn't screw it up.

I didn't get the memo that we couldn't say whatever we want on the internet, sorry

I'll stop.

I agree... What's the purpose to have this site if we can't speculate, argue and complain about issues!!!!:D

Frerrote and Sage bothe suck, always have always will.

I wouldnt mind T.O. he could help this team.

And dude, if you hate this all so much, why dont you just stop writting threads. You totally just said we shouldnt be doing EVERYTHING youre SUPPOSE to do on forums. Its called arm chair GM/HC and we all love it

I'd say a good 85% of this entire board doesn't know anything or is whacked out on drugs. It seems to be either a bunch of screaming twelve year olds, or a bunch of screaming middle aged men who spell like twelve year olds.

And the word "argue" should be used in the loosest sense here: a group of clueless people grunting at each other. That seems to be what passes for argument on this board most of the time.

"TO SUX HE MAKES BAD KEMISTREE."
"NO HE BAHAVE 4 SABEN U WILL SEE."
"DAVID CAR IS ARE QB OF THE FUTURE!"

And I actually had a positive perspective once... I can't imagine what new users might be thinking.

Well, I guess that pretty much covers it.
